The End of Itachi
tomasmmc-7719821 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Brilliant episode. The best possible finale for the battle between the Uchiha brothers. I suggest anyone to come and see this again after learning the truth of Itachi's story. It was perfectly written.

Following the end of last episode, Sasuke prepares a special technique: Kirin. Zetsu sees the clouds and realizes Sasuke's plan: his fire dragons were aiming at the sky, not at Itachi, with the objective to heat the atmosphere, the sky. He also considered that the fire of Amaterasu would help to create the nimbus clouds. That way, a lightning storm appears, and Sasuke doesn't need much chakra to create it, he just needs to redirect the lightning to Itachi. When he performs the jutsu, the impact is inevitable, and Itachi falls to the ground. Sasuke thinks it's finally over, but soon realizes the opposite. Itachi gets up without his cape, and reveals his last defense: Susanoo. The Mangekyo Sharingan allows him to form a special giant ghostly warrior, who is able to block every possible attack, basically unbreakable. Sasuke is stunned and mad because he's out of chakra. Itachi asks him to use any other he has, because now it's serious. But there's nothing else, except Orochimaru. The absorbed Sannin takes advantage of the situation, and resurges from the cursed seal on Sasuke's shoulder. He tells that thanks to Itachi, the Sasuke's chakra that supressed him disappeared, and now he is free. The Uchiha tried to stop this and avoid Orochimaru's offer, but at the end he failed. Now, this is what Itachi was expecting. Just when Orochimaru takes his sword, Susanoo stabs him with a special sword, Tatsuka, capable of sealing anyone touched on a permanent gen jutsu. Zetsu is surprised and explains that it was Orochimaru's weakness, and that he searched for it during his life. But looks like Itachi obtained that sword a long time ago to seal Orochimaru at the right time. The evil Sannin is finally taken out completely from Sasuke's body, and is sealed forever in Susanoo. Still, a little white snake escapes and hides in the debris. Then, Itachi intends to reach Sasuke, but starts coughing blood, while his eyes bleed too. He recovers, and proceeds, walking slowly towards Sasuke. The young Uchiha is desperate, and uses any weapon he has, shuriken, kunai with paper bomb, and at last, his sword. But everything is stopped by Susanoo. Zetsu thinks the fight is over. Itachi raises his hand with the apparent intention to take out Sasuke's eyes. But once he reaches him, smiles, says some words that leave Sasuke stunned, pokes his forehead with two fingers, and collapses. Itachi dies, and Sasuke remains shocked to what has happened. Exhausted, he looks at his dead brother, and falls next to him, while happy memories run on his mind. Zetsu tries to understand, and realizes that Itachi didn't fight like always, he coughed blood often, implying he was already damaged or ill, possibly by overusing the Sharingan or some unknown reason. As the rain stops, the little white snake is completely burned by Amaterasu fire, hence, ending Orochimaru's existence once and for all.

This was the end of Itachi. The Uchiha who betrayed his clan, killed his parents, but protected his brother until the end. His past words to the Sasuke kid were always true, he knew he'd hate him, but he will always be his brother, and tried to be there for him. At the end, it wasn't Naruto who saved Sasuke from Orochimaru, was Itachi. He surely planned this from the moment he learned that Sasuke deserted from Konoha to join the Sannin. His primary target during the battle was to make Sasuke run out of chakra and techniques to force Orochimaru out. He guessed that his brother would not kill the Sannin. And with his last words, and by poking his head, he was trying to tell him that he always loved him. Itachi tried to let Sasuke live a life, after killing him. He helped to fuel his hate towards him, but he also thought that Sasuke wouldn't have his vengeance as the only goal. So he released him from Orochimaru, and all the evil and poison the Sannin injected in his heart. Itachi always tried to protect his brother, even if it didn't turn out like he wanted. His actions here were outstanding. The last gesture, repeating what he did with him when little, every time Sasuke wanted to train or play, symbolizes the cherish towards him. The only problem, is that Itachi didn't know what Madara would do with Sasuke after his death. That's why he left Naruto to take care of the situation. The fact about Itachi's illness remains unclear, but it was a brilliant idea. The overuse of such power in the Mangekyo Sharingan surely causes damage in the body. That's why Itachi at the end used Susanoo, he surely calculated that his body would resist one last fight, and decided it would be with Sasuke. He extended the use of Susanoo til the last second to consume his vitality. Once he pronounced his last words and made his last kind gesture, stopped resisting the pain and left himself die. The perfect ending for Itachi's suffering. As for Sasuke, his reaction to the truth will be showed later. But here, the details were perfect. After Itachi died, was showed the blood of Itachi running down his face, and joining the blood coming out of his left eye. The blood depicts Sasuke's tears because the death of his brother. Now he is the last living person of his family. He has no one else.

SASUKE & ITACHI
gerson-messi-0124 February 2022
Wow! Just wow! From start to finish it was absolutely epic. Can't wait to see more of Itachi's power and how they unfold in future episode's. The Sharingan is sick! Imagine if a person possessed it in real life.
