The Serial Savage

This short documentary covers the case of Nathaniel Benjamin Levi Bar-Jonah, a far more impressive sounding name than the one he was actually born with: David Brown.

Whatever his monicker, this sicko was a predatory paedophile who was given a heavy sentence for the kidnapping and attempted murder of two boys. A sentence that was clearly not heavy enough, not only because this was not his first offence of this nature but some eight years after his release from a hospital for the criminally insane he was convicted of abusing a 13 year old boy. There were two other alleged victims, and the evidence that he abused all three was so strong it beggars belief the jury failed to convict, all the same, as a repeat offender and clearly a dangerous individual, he received a 130 year sentence.

Distasteful though this was, there was evidence that he had kidnapped and murdered another young boy; bones were found which were linked to him, but it was soon established they were not those of the boy in question, which indicates that he murdered at least two boys.

The authorities were preparing to bring him to trial for the murder of Zachary Ramsay – whom he may have eaten – but at the end of the day they decided not to. The reason why is explained here. The good news is that Bar-Jonah died in prison on April 13, 2008 aged only 51.
