Warning: Spoilers
Although this case is old- the subject of many true crime shows and podcasts- Devil in Suburbia gives the viewer a fresh take on an old crime. In Season 1, Episode 6 "Failure to Thrive," the producer and director bring true crime addicts new interviews, and a "human" portrayal of Lacey. We get a deeper dive into her past friendships and voracious desire to become a mother.

I personally loved all of the photos of Garnett-Paul, however I didn't love the missing chunk of Lacey's biggest lies. Falsely accusing your father of SA and claiming he's your son's father, is rather noteworthy. Also, in other series, we learned about a member of the foundation, who admitted she'd cleaned Lacey and Garnett-Paul's room, before the police arrived to conduct their search. She also provided evidence regarding Lacey's call to have the IV bag in their room destroyed. Devil In Suburbia is the first series to suggest an unknown outside friend of Lacey's received the call, to destroy evidence. This new detail, differs from the Foundation member's previous statement, which explicitly outlined seeing the salt evidence, after Garnett-Paul's illness was revealed- a detail worth noting IMO.
