Who's that knocking at my door?
lor_10 June 2015
To kick off this series of older/younger lesbian encounters, auteur Nica Noelle took a different route than usual: there are no beauties in the cast (perhaps Aubrey Addams is an eye candy exception) and only Elexis Monroe is superstar in the making. It's a bare bones effort, but the sex proves worthwhile.

Oddest touch for me occurred with the first of four unrelated vignettes: shot entirely in a nondescript bedroom with ugly lime green walls and barely any decoration: if given a "blindfold test" (no advance info or credits) I would have attributed the footage to competitor Girlfriends Films, where setting is often generic.

Lead role goes to Rachel Steel(e), whose name is spelled three different ways on screen and on the segments DVD menu, and yet a fourth way in IMDb. She is an obscure actress (I'll be seeing her again soon on another Nica effort but she never went gonzo/prolific) who strongly resembles the queen of the genre Magdalene St. Michaels. Her casting fulfills the Big Breasts commercial requirement for the video, but her performances are underwhelming.

In one vignette Rachel's the nominal aggressor, peeking outside the door at Elexis putting on her black hose, and then prevailing on the young woman to have sex "one more time" in a stalled relationship where her "Don't you miss what we had?" is apparently enough (plus the standard soulful smooching) to win Monroe over. Rachel is a big woman, but oddly otherworldly, keeping her eyes closed during sex (in a genre where intense eye contact is the norm) and purring more like a cat than bombastic during the orgasm phase. Needless to say, Maggie St. Michaels would have added a lot to the proceedings -must have been busy when this one was ready to shoot.

She returns, not clearly as another character via Nica's quite spare script (in which improvisation seems to be employed by the cast), seduced in the finale by cutie Aubrey. As in most segments, the porn-speak during humping revolves around the inevitable line "Right there!", spoken during the height of fingering or cunnilingus. Rachel's modus operandi includes wearing sexy black stockings and garter belt throughout her hour-plus of screen time.

Opening segment is more interesting, thanks to the enigmatic acting of an under- appreciated performer Mina Meow (maybe I'm the only fan of her absurd stage name). She is relentlessly pursued by older Mellisa Monet, and holds out diffidently much longer than is usual in a sex video of this nature. This vignette proved a bit puzzling because several references to Meow's father implied that Meow is Monet's step-daughter, but unfortunately the plot line here is minimal and undeveloped.

Remaining segment is the most puzzling. It stars Darien Ross, an obscure actress who I had previously seen starring in the title role of the ephemeral soft-core movie EDUCATING ROXY, in which my review called her "sexy but oddly unattractive". In this Noelle video I would emphasize the word odd - she has irregular facial features, unattractive teeth, a strange hairdo (with pigtails and ribbons, unbecoming the December slotting), ugly shoes and nondescript outfit. As a friendly neighbor welcoming dark-complexion Jordan Bliss who's just moved into the neighborhood a week ago with her (unseen) mom, I would guess her unsubtle lesbian advances would be easy to resist.

But apparently hard-up jail-bait Bliss eventually caves in, and as usual proves to be an old hand at girly sex, despite whatever character she is supposed to be playing. Watching this particular vignette I recalled an old topic of mine regarding girl/girl vs. girl/boy cinema (now videos): the corny seduction/talking one into sex routine of porn, epitomized by Jamie Gillis's mindless cajoling in hundreds of scenes, seems perfectly acceptable when a woman does it, but verges on rape for the guys. In these May/December lesbian videos I find the gender playing field more level, as Darien comes off sleazy here.

Definitely an under-achievement in Nica's oeuvre, OLDER/YOUNGER apparently was not an immediate success. I didn't see any of the 5 sequels listed in IMDb at all and there was a 3-year hiatus until Dana Vespoli took over directing the second one, featuring a big name cast: Maggie, Julia Ann, Nina Hartley, etc. I added volume 6 to the database recently and will be reviewing it shortly.
