When the journalist Gabriel Meadows, who is writing a research about the Visualize, is found murdered, his laptop missing and the crime scene cleaned up, Patrick Jane concludes that Officer Downs in the responsible for removing the evidence. The leader of the Visualize Bret Stiles goes to CBI and asks Downs to tell the truth to the agents. They learn that Meadows was an ex-Visualize member and was trying to take his sister Jessie out of the Visualize and was investigating an old murder case trying to proof that Stiles was the responsible. Meanwhile, Patrick believes that Stiles did not kill Meadows and the murderer is someone from the Visualize inner circle trying to frame Stiles.
