The Reveal
Michael Fargo19 June 2023
If you've followed the career of Jinx Mnsoon and were always left with wanting to know more, this may be as close to her as any of us ever have a chance to get.

Devastatingly funny, wicked, irreverant, uncensored, and long enough to showcase her many (considerable) talents, she exhudes the confidence of a seasoned--spicy--performer. The songs are varied enough and smart enough to show off her vocal talents, and the commentary is both on the LGBTQ+ community as well as a considerable dose of her life, choices, mistakes and triumphs in that tellingly sly way that we admire.

Well, produced and filmed, written within a inch of her life I hope we'll have as much more as she cares to share.

Side splitting comedy gold

Jinkx Monsoon: Red Head Redemption was so funny that I scared the dog from cackling so hard.

There's a reason Jinx is the first two-time winner of RuPaul's Drag Race and helped significantly respark sales for Chicago on Broadway - because she's flipping talented. She can sing, act, and she is *funny*. Not just 'haha' funny, but side splitting "omg i'm crying from laughing" funny. Her jokes are well written and her comedic timing, and delivery, is golden.

This is by far one of the best standup specials I've ever seen and one that I want to watch again - which is rare! Please, watch this and give it the praise it deserves - which is a lot!

Adequately funny...

As I sat down to watch the 2023 stand-up comedy special "Jinkx Monsoon: Red Head Redemption", I must admit that I wasn't really harboring much of any high expectations. First of all, I had no idea who Jinkx Monsoon was, and having sat through two or three other stand-up shows also performed by drag queens, and having found little enjoyment in those shows, then I wasn't really harboring much hopes here.

However, I have to say that Jinkx Monsoon proved to differ. This 2023 stand-up show was fairly enjoyable. She has a good on-stage charisma and feels at home on the stage. Her material was good and brought about some good, genuine laughs from me, and she was good at setting up her jokes and delivering the punchlines.

The material in the show was good, well-written and funny. Jinkx Monsoon went through a handful of different topics and did so in an entertaining manner. I didn't find any of the contents of the show to be lackluster or dull.

I was adequately entertained throughout the 72 minutes that the stand-up show ran for. And if you enjoy stand-up comedy shows, then I think that "Jinkx Monsoon: Red Head Redemption" is well-worth checking out.

My rating of "Jinkx Monsoon: Red Head Redemption" lands on a five out of ten stars.
