The sexual tension between two 'bros' Matt and Chase is undeniable and it makes this episode the best out of all the thousands of House Hunters episodes. But what I dont understand is why these two 'friends' need seperate bedrooms. Maybe there is underlying homophobia in the show that may need to be addressed. But otherwise, this episode still contains the best plot in an HGTV show in a long time!

Brokeback Mountain. That is what I would respond with if someone asked me to best represent this episode of house hunters using a movie.
Looking back at all the predating episodes of house hunters, there is not one that comes to mind that had me on the edge of my sofa trying to answer the burning question of "will they, won't they?". I have no doubts in my mind that if the house hunter team were to check back in on those young men now that the episode has been released, there would be a dramatic shift in the "friendship" dynamic that Mr. Meager and Mr. MacPhee struggled to uphold during the episode.
I would have rated this episode much lower than an 8/10 if it had been a fictional story due to the overwhelmingly unsatisfactory ending that I am forced to live with. However, since this was a reality TV show, I will rate the episode higher in the hopes that it will reach a larger audience and help other young men who are going through a similar situation, to be honest with themselves and not wait until they go on live TV to send out an enormous SOS cry for help.
