Don't let the oddity of this short to put you off. Shivering Trunks is a film that speaks of the damaging pressure that people (especially women, I'd add) have to endure on a daily basis to be different from what they are: to be thinner, fatter, taller, shorter, less than, more than, whatever that might be. The film focuses on the feelings of awkwardness, angst and sense of being "wrong" as you are. Shivering Trunks presents the message in a very clear and powerful way, but indirectly, as the two main characters are funny puppets. The stop-animation is very sweet but also a bit odd, and the exterior scene is unnecessarily long. However, this is a great short film with a great message and a great ending.
