I'm sorry, but the title is misleading. It should be called "August and His Friends Talk About Daily Activities." This is essentially the plot: two friends chat, then we switch to two other friends who chat, then a guy and his girlfriend chat, and finally, the guys join the couple and they all chat. And let's not forget, the bad guys chat too.
Although this was done on a shoestring budget, that doesn't excuse the lack of quality in the writing and editing.
It might be understandable if this were the writer and director's first film. Otherwise, they should have known better than to include over a dozen scenes of friends talking about mundane activities like bowling, painting stick figures, eating, and sleeping.
A better editor could have made a significant difference. They would have known to cut out 10-12 of these redundant scenes.
