Disney’s Kdrama, The Worst of Evil has probably left a narcotic-sized hole in your hearts, especially with that ending. Grandiose in its presentation, set in late 90s Seoul, The Worst of Evil is visually charming while also delivering a well-crafted story that is emotional and thrilling at the same time. Yeah, it’s nothing new, but the show goes beyond what is expected from it. The fantastic cast plays the biggest role in making this work, and the chemistry between all members is palpable. The Worst of Evil is directed with finesse; even the classic Korean beauty shot feels more raw and eerie with the setting of the late 90s. Some scenes are unforgettable, and we have to talk about the costume design, which is absolutely flawless. Did anybody else want all the suits for themselves? We’ve compiled a list that includes worldwide shows that cover similar themes...

The Worst of Evil has left a large crater in our hearts after that finale. Not only is it an engaging show with some very talented actors, but it comes alive with a bibimbap of genres that makes it thrilling throughout. We can’t go without talking about the chemistry between our two leads, gangster Wi Ha-Joon and undercover cop Ji Chang-Wook. There’s no need to compare the two because they each bring their best work to the table in these roles that they wear so well. While we’ve seen Ji Chang-woo in action roles before, this is the first R-rated version, and it’s great to see him reach his full potential. On the other hand, this is the first time we’re seeing Wi Ha-Joon as a gangster, and we’ve got to say it suits him rather well. With that, let’s quickly get into...

The Worst of Evil Episode 10 was like a filler episode, and after the intensity of the previous week, we sure needed a break like that. Now, episode 11 is getting us closer to the end, and there are some arresting moments in the episode that leave us wondering if this whole thing was just futile effort for Junmo. As we get closer to the end, Euijeong and Junmo’s relationship seems more strained than ever. To the people who have known Junmo the longest and the best, he’s a completely changed man. Coming this far, Junmo cannot stop now, and he’s put everything on the line, not just his own life but that of his wife too (although it wasn’t really his doing). Completing this mission is not about a promotion anymore; it’s about his life itself.

Disney+ dropped the finale of The Worst of Evil a week earlier than we anticipated, and now we must finish the series in one sitting. The graphic show is about an undercover cop trying to investigate a drug dealing network that functions between South Korea, China, and Japan. In Episode 8 and Episode 9, we were taken aback by how much Junmo changed after joining the investigation, turning into a violent animal, and for what? Will it all be worthwhile, or will his wife never see him the same way again? We’ll find out by the end of The Worst of Evil.

Ji Chang-Wook and Wi Ha-Joon’s K-drama series has crossed the midpoint and is still going strong. The Worst of Evil, set in the 90s, is well-stylized and thrilling in all the right ways, not shying away from violence. This week’s episodes of The Worst of Evil have revealed some interesting things, and as always, there’s the question of Junmo’s morale: how far can he go as a cop, what will he do to keep his wife safe, and why is he doing all of this at the end of the day? At the same time, gangster Gi-Cheul thought he had an informant on his team, but maybe he should’ve checked up on his facts first before trusting new guy Seungho.

In the first three episodes of The Worst of Evil, we were introduced to Gicheul, the young head of one of Seoul’s most prominent crime syndicates. He made his way to that position with great difficulty, and by the time he reached it, there was no turning back. On the other hand, Junmo is a police officer with a shady past and a wife whose family isn’t pleased with him. Junmo needs to do something big to get a promotion that will make him reach the same level as his wife. They’re both in the police force, so her family is quite embarrassed. There’s a huge drug problem on the loose, so Junmo gets offered a place in Gicheul’s syndicate in order to dig deep and get a promotion as a result. Junmo, wanting to prove himself, chooses to accept this assignment. At the end...

There is no need to panic because whatever we thought about Gicheul and Euijeong is not true. The Worst of Evil is extremely thrilling and unsettling, and we’re always in suspense of what’s going to happen next. Detective procedurals are always enjoyable, especially when the main guy is undercover and has to do questionable things to make sure he’s in the good books of the bad guys. It’s classic yet effective. Episode 2 ended with Junmo in a really dangerous position, and we were left worried, but episode 3 ends with him in a difficult spot too, leaving us wanting episode 4 to air immediately! Already, it feels like so much has happened, but it’s only the beginning. Let’s quickly get straight into what happened in episode 3 of The Worst of Evil.

We’re only two episodes in, and already there are a lot of confusing turns in The Worst of Evil. As expected, the show is extremely violent and leaves nothing to the imagination. Of course, all the actors are commendable in their roles, and to see Wi Ha-Joon and Ji Chang-Wook team up together is a real delight. Additionally, this is like a comeback to action for Ji Chang-Wook, and a fitting one at that. InThe Worst of Evil episode 1, we find out about Gicheul and Junmo’s pasts, their backstories, and how they ended up getting to know each other. At the beginning of episode 1, we see them fight it out with what looks like another gang, but when Junmo’s wife, Euijeong, gets caught in the crossfire, it’s both him and Gicheul who react. How does Gicheul know Euijeong?
