I am not a fan of Euro import Manuel Ferrara, having seen him in several dozen porn videos, always coming off as a big lunk with a bigger dick. But in this early entry in Nica Noelle's series of sensual "more realistic" porn features he dominates and showed me why he's a genre superstar.
I'll try not to spoil the minimal storyline, which concerns the conflict between Manuel and his wife Kylie Ireland regarding who's going to get what in an upcoming divorce settlement. There's not much mystery but it's safe to say that Manuel is more of a schemer on the subject than his better half.
Video differs significantly from subsequent Sweet Sinner features by Nica and her successor/teammate James Avalon in that Ferrara has anal sex with two of the ladies (a no-no in virtually every Sweet Sinner release) and appears in 3 of the 4 requisite sex scenes, ultimately humping for 90 minutes. Extra scene has Ferrara doing the honors with Dana DeArmond, cast as Kylie's less than scrupulous lawyer. Typical of a Sweet Sinner opus, video ends on a sexual high note, with the much bandied-about storyline left slightly up in the air.
Besides Ferrara's obvious prowess in bed, his line readings are more convincing here (though hardly up to level of Lee Strasberg) than usual and to call this a vehicle for him would be an understatement. It's almost as top heavy as Julie Harris in THE BELLE OF AMHERST. (I had to throw that reference in for a porn review - I refuse to segment show biz -it's all one wonderful racket.)
I really enjoyed seeing Kylie in action again so many years after her stint near the top of porn stardom, but her dyed red hair proved too much for my LED TV - it literally bled off the screen. Both DeArmond and Elexis were very hot in their knock 'em dead bouts with Mr. Ferrara, and can tell their grandchildren they survived his relentless onslaught.
