Nowadays, we are accustomed to the popular food that their burning period is very short and also they are not healthy. Contrast to our 'plastic' kitchen, in this documentary Antonio Carlucci and Gennaro Contaldo pick fruits, olives from their trees, make their own cheese, cook Italian food in saucepan while they are introducing the Italy.

After you see it, you will want to taste Italian food. You may even go to Italy for a visit but not really convince me to go to an Italian restaurant, because traditional recipes, local foods are there in Italy. Tasting them in its real place can be more enjoyable.

One side, you can learn something about Italians' life, religion, history and its beauty.

Other side, the documentary touches upon some important points beyond recipes, for examples, the great history of healthy Italy and the current problem, obesity that is because of the changing eating habits. Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo tells us their childhood with what they ate. So, you can see that some part of Italian children is losing their tradition and health.

All in all, this is a must-see documentary. I imagine that how lovely can be I am living in Italy with my grandparents in their old house with a backyard.

It is one of cooking shows about to say I adore it. Because it is easy - and fair- to say about it than it is magic. It is, first, a friendship story with lovely flavors of Italian spirit. It is natural, amusing, provocative and real. A serious slice of old fashion world and simple, charming, naif to childish, full of flavors life style. A great world and rich tastes.
