Overall, I would call Death and Other Details a success story. Maybe not the next Only Murders in the Building, but a good, fun mystery ride during the winter months.

This was too all over the place though. Too many unncessary twists and having Kira be alive was at the top of the absurdity list.

I like them leaving the door open for a second season, but I don't see that happening.

It was still an okay finale, but things essentially wrapped up in the previous episode so this was uneventful. All it did was rehabilitate the image of Trip and make him almost into a fairly decent human being for his family.

Boy did that get stupid quickly

There simply wasn't enough plot to fill 10 episodes so they supplemented it with a bunch of silly twists that did not pay off at the end. The answer to most of the questions set up through the series was basically "just because." It would be much better to keep focused on just a few mysteries instead of constantly jamming in new twists to stretch out the story.

There are too many ridiculous plot points to pick apart one by one, but man, is it ever easy to become an ultra powerful billionaire in this universe. Both a sweat shop factory worker and a pennyless single mother managed it due, apparently, to determination. Same with creating a global clandestine criminal network.

And worst. Mother. Ever.

Wait... what? How?

Warning: Spoilers
After being fully invested throughout the 9 previous episodes and loving the reveal of Kira being Victor Sams, I could not have been any more lost during this episode.

The reaction from Imogene to the news was out of character. Barely a reaction, actually.

The show denies us from enjoying Rufus' reaction to the one case he never solved. That's the show's biggest sin.

But then we also don't get an explanation as to how Imogene's mom became a billionaire and how she got into the crime underworld?

None of it made any sense and at this point, I just didn't care what happened to anyone.

Once the mystery was solved, the writers had no idea how to explain the mess they wrote themselves into in the first place.
