It's a rectangular piece of wood floating int he water. Youngsters clamber onto it and knock others off. Some of them jump into the water without any encouragement.
It's the sort of thing we used to do when I was a kid in the water, and just the sort of thing that Robert Bonine shot in his final working tour of Hawaii, before he handed his papers into Edison and retired..... to Hawaii. He was one of the men who went around the world for Edison, setting up exhcnages and theaters, and shooting movies along the way. Apparently he found a place he liked enough to stay. Good for him.
