Magnum with no Magnum. The Higgins investigation was charming enough if a little rote procedurally. Novel idea to have the girl as client who hoodwinks Higgins exploiting her lack of maternal instinct. The Magnum veteran bonding plotline is incongruent with this show. If the goal was keeping him out of the way to allow Higgins to operate alone, then there are dozens of better, more interesting and engaging ways to do that. An OK episode, but a little too saccharin.

Stop making higgings the main character.
This show is not called Higgins PI it's called Magnum PI.
Only the first episode was on brand.
Magnum and his army boys solving crime.
Now it's all Higgins.
Juliet the super spy. The female James Bond, super hacker, MMA specialist all in one.
TC and. Rick are stuck in this weird bar/sitecom bit.
And Thomas is just a side character on his own show.
Higgins Is a stupid character and ruins the show.
