Original and unorthodox.

Ricardo Araújo Pereira, Tiago Dores, Miguel Góis and José Diogo Quintela achieved stardom by forming the humorous quartet "Gato Fedorento" and obtaining four TV series where they presented short comedies. The way they did comedy became a landmark for national humor, much exhausted and mistreated at the time. Since then, they have had a few other jobs and TV shows, such as "Diz Que é Uma Espécie de Magazine". This show happened specifically during the campaign for the 2009 Portuguese parliamentary elections, and their intention was, obviously, to comment on the campaign actions of the several parties, inviting every week one of the candidates for a short interview where every politician was confronted, humorously, with his weaknesses. I followed the whole show with great interest at the time and I laugh a lot. It was very funny to see the way most of our politicians tried to "play the joke" and show their more relaxed and less institutional side. Some have clearly had more success than others in this task. Must do is the interview with José Sócrates, who was trying to be re-elected, or the interview with Paulo Portas. Undoubtedly this was one of the most unorthodox and original political shows that Portuguese TV has ever known since the end of "Contra-Informação".
