  • References to sex - woman undresses another (non-sexual) and woman goes to 'bed' - clothed (arms and legs shown)

  • Theatre production and Shakespeare tragedy means fake blood. Some sword fighting and talk of torture. Some people may find the final scene disturbing - Domestic violence, murder, suicide.

Profanity

  • Repeated use of whore with regards to main female character. Main lead character is a black Turk / Moor and there are occasional references to his colour and ethnicity (no use of the 'N' word)

  • Soldiers sit around a table and have drinking competition and sing songs

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • As indicated - Shakespeare tragedy - domestic violence, murder, suicide in final scene. Other scenes where Iago and Othello are abusive to their wives may be uncomfortable for some.
