The Penn storyline continues to drag on.Both Irene and Miles try to chat to Alf about it but he isn't saying anything.Penn pulls another pointless prank that doesn't really give the character much depth or motivation. The last scene actually works quite well but should have been edited a lot tighter, going on about half a minute too long.
Liam is coming across as extremely likable and gets a nice scene with Miles and some half decent ones with Bianca, who's in pleasant mode for at least part of the episode.Sadly, April continues to not come over very well and is now blatantly lying to John so he'll use her proposal. Xavier makes a brief stand and insists he'll tell John himself but ends up chickening out when he remembers he doesn't like him. It's a confusing plot line not helped by the fact that we don't really know whether the proposal's a good idea or not.
