- Australian language is more free with its swearing than American culture considers normal. There are instances of swearing throughout the movie. Nothing that would be considered very offensive in Australia or the USA.

- Australian culture is more oriented to alcohol consumption than American culture. There are several instances of characters drinking alcohol in the movie. There is also drug taking (marijuana, briefly) but no smoking of tobacco depicted.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- There are several slightly frightening scenes: a chase scene in which thugs chase the hero and get chased by the monster; the monster beating up the thugs; the hero beating up the thugs. The opening sequence (over the titles) is also a dream in which a lead character dreams of his dead wife.
