The Debut Of Sela Ward
ccthemovieman-114 November 2011
This episode marked the debut of "Jo Danville" (Sela Ward) who has taken the position formerly held by "Stella Bonasera" (Melina Kanakaredes) who is now the boss of a CSI in New Orleans.

Danville's first day on the CSI-New York job is pretty memorable, to say the least. About the first thing she comes across is a murder that took place in the CSI lab! Now that's a first, admits CSI boss "Mac Taylor" (Gary Sinise) The who's, what's and why's I'll leave for you readers when you watch this season, which just came out recently on DVD and how I am viewing it.

What is the new woman like? Well, "Jo" is pretty cocky, intelligent, bold, has a sick sense of humor and is very pretty. In other words, about what you'd expect out of female CSI agent on television. Ward is a mid-50s actress who certainly doesn't look her age.

Favoritism.

I love this series, was glad to see Sela ward on board. Can't say I really care for this episode. Not a fan of Lindsay always has a chip on her shoulder. I understand she's upset about killing someone, but she was protecting her family. Sometimes she's very immature. Another thing that I don't understand is how, Anna Belknap is billed over hill harper and Eddie Cahill. They were on the series way before her. Then in the later episodes the same thing happened with a. J. Buckley he was also billed before, harper and Cahill. These two guys are great and deserve better billing. They need to do a reboot.

Veasey, Pam, personality of spam
JPBMILLION21 March 2016
Let us discuss the pile of wreckage Pam Veasey racked up in her career as showrunner on CSI:NEW YORK. This was the beginning of the end for this once great show. This woman is the architect of this show's fall from grace. The summer of 2010 was when she allowed CBS to screw over Melina Kanakaredes and move the show to the Friday night deathslot. The clock began officially ticking till the end with this episode. Pam Veasey is the reason this became the only CSI series to not reach 10 seasons, to not reach 10 years on the air, to not attain the vaunted status of a 200th episode.

For the way Veasey allowed CBS to stab Melina Kanakaredes in the back, she should have retired from television work. Pam Veasey has no honor, no backbone, no guts, no integrity, no affinity for the fans. That was seen on full display when she co-wrote the CSI:CYBER episode GOING VIRAL. Set in New York but did not include any characters from CSI:NEW YORK. This show got weaker and weaker and weaker as the years went on. I have watched so little of the Sela Ward DVD sets that I don't even know the episodes that contributed the DVD mintage music save for Season 8 since FLASH POP had such a distinct soundtrack. Without Melina Kanakaredes/Stella Bonasera, this show lost Its spark. It just continued to deteriorate.

Melina Kanakaredes)

Warning: Spoilers
First of all not explaining or showing why Melina's role was cancelled gives this episode a 1 star.

Second having the team making jokes over a dead body found in their office is truly disrespectful. ( Is this what the police are about ?).

Third Lindsey kills this man who on the very last episode of the last series shows us falling from a lighthouse into the sea, and he some how managed to travel back to NY in the same clothes, was able to get a gun and break into their apartment???? The writer/writers really must think people are stupid. Clearly by some of the reviews giving a ten rating, i guess they were correct.

The only reason i gave a one star was because you do not have a 1/2 star rating.

Total garbage.
