During the summer of 2010, NBC debuted Breakthrough with Tony Robbins. The TV show followed self-help guru Robbins as he tried to inspire regular people to overcome their personal challenges.
The series was quickly cancelled after two low-rated installments aired. NBC made the remaining four episodes available online via their website and Hulu. They're since been pulled down.
Now, the Oprah Winfrey Network has acquired all six episodes of Breakthrough and plans to start running them beginning March 26th. The first episode that aired on NBC will be the first one on Own. There don't seem to be any plans to film any new installments.
Here's the press release:

A source said to UK newspaper The Sun: “Cheryl and Derek saw the new TV show, Breakthrough With Tony Robbins, in the States and she asked questions about him. Derek has been a follower of Tony’s for years. He hasn’t pushed it, but he has recommended they meet. ... Inspirational guru Tony Robbins probably isn't flashing his blinding smile right now. Robbins' reality show Breakthrough With Tony Robbins tanked on NBC and has been pulled after only two episodes. It will be replaced by an hour of some bleach-haired guy giving people money to attempt stupid stunts in 60 seconds. Seriously, who is running things over at that network? [Associated Press]

The combination of the current recession in America plus reality shows is ... certainly an intriguing one. On 'Breakthrough With Tony Robbins' (Tue., 8Pm Et on NBC), we get to see a man who has been given a second chance at life. Ron Stegner has lost his job, and all his life savings. Now, self-help guru Tony Robbins gives Ron an opportunity to get a new job in a restaurant. But is what happens on the show really fair?
Ron hasn't worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years. And on his first day on the job, while running a routine check, he spits on the sidewalk (while politely covering it up with his clipboard). Instantly, the manager appears outside to yell at him, telling Ron that this is a multi-million dollar restaurant, and he can't do such a thing. Then, Ron is fired by Willie Degal,...

Frank Alioto lost the use of his limbs on his wedding night. It's a truly sad story. To celebrate his marriage to his wife Kristen, Frank jumped into a swimming pool. But by doing that, he got injured -- and instantly became a quadriplegic.
Now, on 'Breakthrough With Tony Robbins' (Tue., 8Pm Et on NBC), life coach Tony Robbins tries to help Frank recapture a measure of his former happiness. "Life can be rich, regardless of what's happened to us on the outside," Tony says. But how do you help a quadriplegic man feel "free" again?
The answer ... skydiving. Tony puts Frank and his wife in a helicopter, and then has them jump through thousands of feet of air. It's a beautiful moment, and it brings Frank some joy. Initially, he's frightened, but then he calls the experience "extremely powerful." "It was the freest...

Tony Robbins is no stranger to reality television, but don't expect to see him dancing, nor facing Donald Trump in a boardroom.
The motivational expert brings his expertise in helping others to be their best in "Breakthrough With Tony Robbins," an NBC series premiering July 27. He admits he might not be at his own best if he did ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" or NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice," though he's fielded offers from both shows.
"Donald is a friend of mine, but ['The Celebrity Apprentice' is] not something I personally want to do," Robbins tells Zap2it. "'Dancing With the Stars' has approached me twice. I figure I already have enough to make fun of, with my teeth and my normal style, without adding the dancing part to it. I have to try to have people take me a little seriously if I'm going to keep coaching people."
Indeed, the ever-energetic and...

Oprah Winfrey's upcoming cable network OWN is making several executive changes and developing three shows.
The network's programming department is shifting top executives, and Own is appointing former MTV Networks programming veteran John MacDonald as COO/executive vp programming and digital.
On the programming side, Own is working on shows starring celebrity chef Cat Cora and fashion expert Carson Kressley; each involves makeovers or personal transformation.
The first is a pilot order where Cora visits families in need of a crucial lifestyle change. The former Iron Chef will demonstrate how to combine healthy eating with busy lifestyles. Shed Media ("Real Housewives of New York City") will produce.
The network also is piloting "Confrontation: The Conversation," which documents a mediation program where a crime victim and offender come together to try to find a measure of closure. Tom Forman ("Breakthrough With Tony Robbins") will exec produce.
