"Every way I look at fixing this at the moment is wrong"

Well, a lot of things that were wrong with the previous episode are still wrong:Gina's still overreacting, Jill's still irritating, Martha's still living in cloud cuckoo land and hiding a criminal in her loft.John Palmer, fast shaping up to be the show's anti-hero, gets a lot of the comedy here with his banter with Gina and Jill as he appears to be on the verge of letting his libido get the better of him.Tony and Gina are great as ever.

There's a few ideas thrown into the mix which means it's an improvement. Xavier is less deluded here as he tries and fails to make Hugo face up to exactly what he's done to all of them.Romeo's defence of John is an abrupt but believable character change. And Charlie and Angelo get added to the action, Angelo's obsession is brought to the fore but added to it is his reasonable observation that he usually turns out to be right. The scene where they kiss is comedy gold with their bumbling and confused reactions.

But the ending promises a lot that you just know the next episode isn't going to deliver.
