Boyd faces a face against time as Linda proves to be the Master puppeteer, pulling everybody's strings.
This is a superb, shocker of a final, along the same lines as Shadowplay, it's an exciting, dramatic episode, but one of the main characters is the central focus, here it's Boyd.
It completes two story arcs, Linda and Luke, this complex story makes you question who the real villain of the piece is, it's superbly well written.
Barbara Marten is terrific as Penny Cain, but even she is upstaged by Ruth Gemmell, who has been remarkable throughout the show as Linda Cummings.
We had to wait a long time to learn the final fate.
