I had the amazing opportunity of watching this movie during TIFF in Cluj-Napoca, with the director present at the event.

We all know that iconic message that music unites us all, but this movie says it in a beautiful manner. The origin, gender, religion, age, social status, level of experience are all irrelevant in the face of being open to a project that sounds to many as a waste of time and energy. Why would anyone want to play an instrument that's really broken? The project itself is something unique and memorable, but the movie shows its one kind of originality. It's structured in a way that brings up tension, roundness and the true colours of the experience.

The challenges, the happy and not so happy times are all captured in a way that offers space to the viewer to decide whether it's a experience worthy of living or not. From feeling part of the music to having your solo given to other musician and talking about some of their own brokenness, the movie has it all.

It starts with gathering the instruments and organising the orchestra, but gradually the music and the stories of the people involved become one. That is the main thing that I'll hold with my about this movie. It was one of those really great movie experiences, I truly recommend this film to everyone who has a deep appreciation for music and diversity among people.
