The Jiminy Conjecture was another very funny episode of "The Big Bang Theory"

In this episode, Leonard reveals to his friends at the comic shop that sex with Penny was "fine" which to him wasn't extraordinary. Later, over Thai food, Sheldon reveals all to Penny who's embarrassed. Seems Sheldon didn't know he crossed the line so Howard and Raj leave it to him to figure it out while Leonard follows Penny back to her place as they drown their sorrows in drink. While the other three continue eating, a cricket is heard chirping which makes Sheldon and Howard make a bet about what kind of cricket it is with the winner getting either Fantastic Four # 48 (Silver Surfer's first appearance) or Flash # 123 (where Barry Allen Flash meets Jay Garrick Flash). I'll stop there and say what another very funny episode this was of "The Big Bang Theory". Oh, and while that elevator they always pass is still broken, Sheldon finally comes in there just to search for that cricket! Nothing much to say except I can't wait for next Monday's episode so until then...

Penny and Leonard's efforts to get together are squelched time and time again by Sheldon or his minions. The do finally make it happen but they both seem disappointed. Of course, an offhanded comment by Leonard is repeated and commented on by Sheldon. The other plot element is a dispute between Howard and Shseldon about a cricket's identity. They do everything they can to catch the thing; which they do. They take it to an entomologist played hilariously by explosive comic Lewis Black. Great scene had Sheldon eating crow and losing a valuable comic book to Howard.

The episode had some fun moments. Leonard and Penny's disappointing sex and everyone discussing it was humorous. I am just glad they didn't go to being just friends. Sheldon's advice to her was a pretty fun scene. The whole cricket story was pretty fun. I loved them arguing over it's name. And Lewis Black was a good choice for the part of the funny and grumpy professor.

Even when the scripts are a bit thin this cast can elevate them into something better.

I didn't think this was one of the better episodes, with the Sheldon/Howard/Raj plot being a bit weak, but there are enough nice lines/interactions to carry it through.

Ok enough.
