If more early releases in Girlfriends' "Women Seeking Women" series were as poor as this volume 7, the label would have killed off the concept early on, rather than letting it run forever (now at 138 volumes and counting).
All three of the separate vignettes are weak, particularly #2 that runs a mind-numbing 55 tedious minutes. It has Alicia Silver introducing Penny (Flame) as a first-timer (she's not, having appeared in several porn videos the year before), and then narrating some b.s. about remembering her first time and describing what happened, while we watch NOTHING whatsoever happening in her bed scene with current flame Penny. Some 25 minutes elapse before the scene goes hardcore, and the licking, smooching and fingering is as dull as dishwater. Flame, who later became a prolific and very popular performer, plays the endless scene with her eyes closed and is a dead fish.
At one point Alicia seems to be wrapping things up with the declaration "I'm so tired", a sentiment the audience will share, but then a card reading "Ten Minutes Later" appears and what plays like a repeat of previous footage is tacked on to the dreadful scene.
Similarly, the final segment has two unimpressive players, Meghan and so-called "Butter" yapping a bit at bedtime and then making love as if half-asleep. It's shot in a sort of half-light advertised by Girlfriends to represent night time in its initial quest for a "new realism" in Lesbian Cinema, but is thoroughly uneventful filler.
More in-your-face is the opening segment, which brings back big-busted, tough biker girl Michelle from Volume 3. Brief set-up has Elexis Monroe accidentally hitting Michelle's parked motorcycle, then offering cash to pay for any damage rather than filing a police report. Michelle's counter-offer is to bring Elexis home with her and hump the future fan favorite.
Improvised dialog is lousy, with Elexis not taking the scene seriously at all. Very poor editing early on repeats exactly footage and dialog just shown as if set in a loop, unforgivable sloppiness on the part of Girlfriends' unnamed director and editor.
Two strap-on dildos offer the promised (even stated explicitly) of rough sex, but instead we get mechanical sex, almost as boring as in the other two segments of the video. The pretense that Elexis's character is innocent, a first-timer to lesbian sex, is quickly dropped when it comes her turn to be the dom and dish out dildo action and a modicum of spanking to the Amazonian Michelle.
