End of an era?
Trey_Trebuchet2 September 2021
Not as strong as the previous episode, but I still liked it. It's built almost entirely on character moments, and I enjoyed said character moments. It is a fairly uneventful episode, but it is still beautifully animated and acted, and I loved seeing AZ again. He got a nice little arc that wa a Unexpected but fun. I thought this was a perfectly fine finale to a first season that wasn't perfect but had many good moments and episodes.

Overall, I liked this season. It's better than some of the lesser Clone Wars seasons. I would personally love to see some better character development and honestly, I wouldn't mind season 2 having less episodic stuff. This season was beautifully animated and directed and acted. I wanted to see this world transition from prequel era to OG trilogy era and they did a good job with that! I am content.

Pretty Good Finale
kphelan-4715013 August 2021
I know people will be unsatisfied because this episode wasn't huge in terms of plot progression or action but it delivered a lot of fantastic character moments. Star Wars fans today are so quick to call everything trash because they want stories to go fast or for somebody to die every episode, but forget how slowly The Clone Wars started. Great episode but I can see why some would be disappointed with it as a season finale.

Character over Action
davidkislingreviews13 August 2021
This was not the most action packed season finale, but it did a great job of keeping suspense and showed great character development. You never know what is about to happen throughout the episode and it keeps you guessing. It definitely is the other side of the coin to first part of the finale. It leaves you wanting more, which we will be getting next year!

A great finale loved the show! The underwater escape was super intense! I hope Crosshair becomes better in the later seasons! He did have some redemptive arc.

This one hit hard

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was the complete opposite of the last one. While the part one was action packed. This one focused on developing our characters and focusing on the fall of topica city. While some might be disappointed that the ending didn't have a Vader or boba cameo. Why does it matter? In the end we come to the understanding that crosshair chose the empire over his brothers on his own accord. Yet we still see he can't fully let go of his squad. Now we wait in wonder for what is to come in season 2. I'm fully invested. Be patient because this one is cooking up to be good. Comparatively this season blows the first two seasons of the CW out of the water.

"You're still their brother Crosshair , you're my brother too"
suvechhabose13 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Hold up M teary eyed . The music when Omega said this line , hits perfectly. About Omega , She's already a well developed character , from giving ideas to being restless but still helping others ( Saving a robot ) is not a jedi/Clone move but a human move. Omega's season 1 arc was better than rey's whole arc

How come people are rating this episode not good? Its a two part_er so we got an emotional dose in this episode. I see nothing wrong in it. The risk was present. Crosshair was on a mood to kill hunter anytime if they found each other alone. It was visible on his face but somehow this episode kept Crosshair's redemption by showing he helped Omega and still managed to keep him as a potential threat for future.

Sometimes quality matters more than quantity.

Over all an 8/10 Not Bad👏🏽

Warning: Spoilers
Everyone was expecting an action packed episode, I was too. Thankfully I am able to be entertained by just about anything as long as the story is gripping. The suspense throughout this episode had me clenching my blanket hoping that no one in the episode would be killed off due to the circumstances, I was even worried for the droid. Even the emotional parts of the episode made me feel pain and sadness. This was a bittersweet ending to an already great season. I hope in the next season we get more episodes that stick to a more pg-13 rating. Considering the age of the audience that is watching the show ranging from 16-25. Now with this season being concluded I'd say it's an 8/10. I hope more of you could learn to be entertained by a dynamic range of storytelling rather than action packed eye candy. There is more to Star Wars than just waving a saber and the blasting of a blaster. The heart of Star Wars is also within the story, how we feel towards the characters that face challenging situations and how they overcome them. The greatest loss in this episode was not only the brother ship between the batch and crosshair but also kamino, those empty shots from the episode prior leading up to its burial at sea were chokingly depressing. Again this was a great conclusion to a good season, I can't wait for the next one. - Hugo Valencia.

I've really enjoyed this series. I had not expected to appreciate the characters that have been included. The banter, cooperation, and individual personality shown in the characters is impressive. Looking forward to the next season.

Amazing show and Season, but an underwhelming Episode
joemeznerd13 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Overall to me this was a better season than both Season 1 of Clone Wars and Rebels. But the ending felt very underwhelming. I liked that the Bad Batch had to work together to survive, and showed the devastation that the Empire caused, but it also left a lot to be desired as well.

I am excited for Season 2, and what the Commandos will be doing. Hopefully we'll get Bad Batch vs Delta Squad. I think they'd make great villains.

This show has blown me out of the water. This was such a well executed finale that I almost considered giving a 10/10. The action, buildup, and familial dynamics are just incredible.

They Had Us In The First Half
jdardizzone13 August 2021
With an exciting first part, you would think the second half would top that. That is not the case. The season finale does not bring justice for the rest of the show. The episode starts off with the group escaping Kamino. Unfortunately, that is the full 30 mins, minus the last 20 seconds. Moments involving Crosshair and the other members was interesting, but it was pretty much the same dialogue exchange heard throughout the season. The visuals of seeing Kamino destroyed was a sad one, but also great as well, story wise. With a majority of filler episodes and only a small amount of essential episodes, the first season of The Bad Batch isn't starting off strong. Hopefully the second season can make up for its predecessor.

A disappointing finale to top off a disappointing first season.
eaj-943-87490513 August 2021
This episode is pretty much just the batch escaping Kamino. That's it. A few interesting bits, but that's it. Unfortunately interesting doesn't mean surprising. It's a basic episode, which you think wouldn't be the case for the finale, but that's what it is. Perhaps the worst part of this finale is that it does nothing to interest viewers in the 2nd season. Nothing is hinted at that fans haven't already guessed and I'm not at all looking forward to season 2. All the cameos and surprise appearances really meant nothing in the end, and I can't help but think that the entire plot could have been done in 8 episodes, but of course filler makes up half of this show. Please, Filoni, do better next season. I'll always have faith in you, but this season was simply disappointing.

Everything I wanted to see
mickeymouse-1178713 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode had everything I wanted to see: How they go away from Kamino, Moments between Crosshair, a little cliffhanger for season 2 and more. Only, because there wasn't Vader, Ahsoka or Maul, it isn't bad. Only bringing old characters we know back is not good and can't make a good finale.

Solid episode that just barely misses the mark, to round off a great first season
Cyberbeard13 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I love the Bad Batch, even the episodes some would describe as "filler".

While the penultimate episode was perfect in my view, I need to be honest and call this one for what it is: a solid episode that was very entertaining to watch, but which ultimately lacked that sprinkle of extra "awesome" to merit a 10/10 rating.

It left one too many questions vague or unanswered, clearly setting up the series for the long haul. I also would have preferred a big fight to close the season, but there wasn't any of that.

But I'm still in love with the show, and I hope it continues to amaze and delight us for many years to come.

Kamino Lost
MrFilmAndTelevisionShow13 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Although not as good as part one I still feel it was a good finale to the show it sets up inevitable second series where the bad batch will have to go up again who knows what of the Kaminoan Scientistics making. The finale part II wasn't as good as Part I but it was good nonetheless I did like the escape, and the exploration of Crosshair as a very complex character.

The animation was phenomenal. Watching the bad batch fight getting out of the city was a thrillride. I loved this episode and I think it concludes season one perfectly

Now Spoilers!

I really would have liked if crosshair rejoined his brothers (and sister). But this gives it more emotional weight.

I cannot wait for season 2!

Everything a finale should be
noahsmithmichael13 August 2021
This finale ends where the season begins: with Clone Force 99, all five of them, on Kamino. Yet we end in an entirely different place. All of them, over the course of the season, have become different people with different values, but discover that they still all need each other. People will say this finale is disappointing, but I'll be the first to disagree. This finale holds more emotional depth and nuance than arguably any episode before, and reinforces the idea that the Bad Batch can survive anything together. I'm really excited to see where their journey takes them in season 2.

All hope is lost...
wetmars14 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Oh my, what to say about this? Of course, this didn't meet our expectations. But, I was keeping my expectations low for this one as most of the episodes are filler. I do appreciate the worldbuilding of the destroyed Kamino. AZI was pretty much the strongest role in this finale. Omega's chemistry with him is perfectly wholesome. I dug his characteristics where he deeply cared for his clone-trooper patients. I do hope that Season 2 will be stronger than this filler type of stuff. For Crosshair, he really is a complex one, isn't he?

I do appreciate there weren't any returning characters to make this finale more entertaining. The show is supposed to be focusing on the Bad Batch. I do hope to god we will be seeing more of the Delta Squad because I am a big fan of Republic Commando myself. What an underrated game. For this season. I will give it a 7/10 as I personally "enjoyed" the stories.

I am still considering this as a 10/10, the episode was mainly "beautiful". I should say.

Season One Review
southdavid14 August 2021
To my eternal shame, I am yet to watch any of the Star Wars Spinoff Cartoons. Given that I have Disney plus though, and that this is the first one I can watch as it airs, I decided that "The Bad Batch" was as good a place to start as any.

When Order 66 signifies the defacto end of the Clone Wars, Clone Force 99, otherwise known as "The Bad Batch" decide that the newly formed Empire will force them to make tactical and morale decisions that they can't agree with. Liberating Omega (Michelle Ang) a young clone girl from Kamino, the team attempt to maintain a low profile whilst undertaking whatever missions they can find. Omega though is a prized asset and several dangerous interested parties make her their target.

It's hard not to start the series with immense praise for Dee Bradley Baker, who plays all the members of Clone force 99 and manages to make each feel like there are both a clone of the others, and a fully realised character in their own right. Michelle Ang manages to keep Omega on the right side of annoying too, even when 'precocious child' is a bit of a trope. There's also a nice turn from Rhea Perlman, as a recurring character Cid. Ming-Na Wen makes two appearances, with her returning "Mandalorian" character Fennec Shand. Sian Clifford appears in one episode, making it a nice little in joke that both the "Fleabag" sisters have played robots in Star Wars.

The animation style is nice, both the character work and the scenery vistas are excellent. The stories are generally solid family friendly types adventures, with the gang often put in mild peril, before escaping thanks to the one of the various skills each member has. A few of them were, to my mind, a little underwhelming - but generally the show entertained both me and my son enough that watching them each weekend morning was a fun little ritual.

Genuinely looking forward to season two, and now I'm in, I guess it's time for the Clone Wars.

Great finale!
ErReads14 August 2021
I truly don't quite understand the negative reviews for this episode. Personally, I thought it was a terrific episode. Very reminiscent of movies such as Poseidon Adventure, The Abyss or Underwater. It was really well-done and even had emotional moments. Overall, I thought this first season of the show was really good.

Could have been an extra 10 minutes that was apart of the episode before
ha77y73ad9713 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Truly a part 2 of 2, opening right where the last finished! Admiral Rampart, is he Thrawn level threat definitely not, Tarkin level quite possibly but over the course of the season he hasnt challenged the team that much just as an overseer.

The Cinematography of the opening scenes was amazing, the shot of the Observation deck overlooking the burning Tapoca city was awesome tied with the voice acting of Dee Bradley Baker of the reporting clone thats just lost his home city to destruction bring home that this is another turning point for the galaxy in which the Empire now rules. Along with the rousing score when the city has fallen to the depths of the ocean sums up the terror that the team are currently in.

This really isnt the season finale that we hoped for a its a half an hour redemption story of crosshairs, sets up season 2. Crosshair is on the road to redemption, AZ is now apart of the team. The team now split up again and the Empire truly in Crosshairs heart I cant see his choices changing so quickly.

With the final scene in the series tying in the Mandalorian and the sequel trilogy its great to see that they are trying to fix their mistakes from the Sequels and its a great story line to continue we may see some other returning characters and planet before to long in season 2!

Kamino Lost
kaden_lewis24 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was a solid finale to a great show. The entire episode was very entertaining, and it seemed to be a little more emotional than the other episodes. I though the story of them trying to escape the facility while it was collapsing, then trying to leave the planet was very cool. I really liked the scene when they were walking through the underwater tunnel, then when they floated themselves to the surface. I though those scenes were very cool. I also liked how we got some more AZ. Ever since we saw him in The Clone Wars season 6, I have loved him and I hope to see more of him in season 2.

This was a great season finale, and I think season 2 will be even better, I can't wait!
