The Siren

The other review pretty much covered everything I was gonna say (and then some), so I really don't have anything to add!

Except maybe the Scott Bakula cameo was hilarious and I hope they can somehow bring him back in the future.

There's a reason this is my favorite show currently on air. It's funny, clever and heartwarming. I love it.

Moaning minnie
benjinightingale12 October 2021
I absolutely loved this episode . I'm eating my words when moaning Minnie here prematurely grumbled about the first few eps of this season . I really loved the style you guys went for here . Loved the speed and tempo , seemed to flow so much better and didn't feel confusing . The story was cute and original and it's genius .I felt like it was and is a fab progression and growth of how people would expect the show to grow without loosing its charm and its here now . The effects were super fun and hilarious , executed amazingly and crazy Imaginatively thought up with a fresh feeling . Again it's ultimately back to being my number one show again in comedy . This and the previous are why I love it so . Colin Robinson is so sweet and I like seeing the "human side " to him . Gizmo is the eye candy now and im living . Laslow is super sweet still but still massive a hole. I want to be Nadia she's everything I'd want to be if I would of been privileged enough to have been born a woman . Nandor is like a blood sucking Labrador and I love him . God I love this show it's so camp and fab. Love.

Loved the Gargoyles
Hitchcoc24 September 2022
So much happens in this episode. It begins with blood spurting out of the guests on a party ship. Collin and Laszlo take over the ship but are waylaid by sirens (the singing kind--ship crushers). Meanwhile, the doll has had enough. She isn't getting any attention and decides to go out on her own. Nadja realizes she has been ignoring her and gets all hands on deck to find her and bring her back. They don't know where she is and they get advice from some gargoyles on a building. Great animation. Collin falls in love with the song of really grotesque siren. She is half very large woman and half chicken. Of course, there are all sorts of pratfalls that work quite well.

Just Lovely!
rebsothoth8 October 2021
Second week in a row that "What We Do" has tugged at the heartstrings, in a positive and lovely way. Like last week, the episode is also special-effects heavy, with some really cool sequences and new creatures.

The plot focuses on the bond between Nadja and her Doll, and the friendship between Colin and Laszlo. It's a feel-good situation all around, which is nice for horror geeks like me that get tired of shows that focus on negativity and drama all the time. To quote one of the songs in the episode, "Vampires are a happy folk, they share a laugh, they share a joke." The world needs that right now.

It feels like Matt Berry was genuinely letting his love of music shine when he was... "buying" a stereo system. It also feels, having watched "Dream Corps LLC", that Mark Proksch is an exhibitionist with a love for grease. Just saying.

Welcome to my emotional breakdowns
saskinmeczup9 October 2021
I've never watched any show's any episode for the second time right after finishing the first. But this episode was so hilarious with Nadja's emotional breakdowns between love and anger.

I also love her dark jokes and non-ending hatred for Turks (Calm down, I'm Turkish). The darker she gets the better the jokes. Please keep her angry, dangerous, cruel Balkan woman vibe for the other episodes as well.

I'm impatiently waiting for 1 week only to watch 20 minutes but it's totally worth it. I hope we'll see season 4 and many more seasons because I love this show! It's one the best comedies out there.

What's going on with this show now
Let_me_just_say9 October 2021
What happened to this show? First two season were great. This season not so great. The jokes have really been dumbed down. I hope they get it together next season.

Warning: Spoilers
Well, the brief Scott Bakula bit was good, but overall this was a forgettable episode.

Stop the stuff with the doll, it just isn't working.

Better luck next week with this show.
