One of the best episodes

Well Dexter is known as a heart-wrenching series that can go in any direction, and yet again it's just completely twisted off on a new tangent proving this is the best show on US TV.

The last scene is shocking, but very well filmed with great acting proving this episode should be nominated for awards to be honest.

The ending was so unexpected - I never expected them to do that, frankly i'm disappointed - but at least now i'm full of anger, wanting to watch the rest of the season to see if and when Dexter catches that S.O.B

Great writing and another amazing episode.

Wow what an intense episode! Dexter "takes care" of another "victim", a very interesting one this time. The episode is concluded by a HUGE cliffhanger!

Recharging the Batteries
claudio_carvalho7 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Rita travels with the children to attend the wedding of a relative without Dexter that has 72 h to enjoy freedom and "recharge his batteries". Dexter plans to meet Officer Zoey Kruger, who gave a perfect narrative to the crime of her husband and daughter, simulating a break in and planting the blood of the drug dealer Darius Rae. Dexter seeks new evidence of the crime but he is threatened by Zoey. Detective Quinn calls off his relationship with the reporter Christine after the release of a picture of Agent Lundy in the front page of the newspaper. Lundy investigates the Murphy's Tavern where Trinity would probably attack again, and he stumbles with the serial-killer. Debra spends the night with Lundy and sleeps with him; when they are in the parking area of the hotel, they are shot by someone.

"Dex Takes a Holiday" is another engaging episode of Dexter, with a tense and surprising conclusion with Debra and Agent Lundy shot by someone. I am looking forward to see the next episode to see the fate of Debra and Lundy. My vote is nine.

1. Dex is home alone 2. Debra hooks up with Lundy 3. Dexter has a moment of realization

What a great episode. Dexter, by killing Zoe, sorted out his complicated feelings for his family and decided that he loves them very much. We are witnessing Dexter slowly finding out his own identity and it's been great.

At final scene, Lundy and Debra are shot by an unknown. This is huge. Lundy most likely dies and Debra is going to chase Trinity for revenge. Lot of action packed episode! Season 4 is cruising so Far.

I am watching this in 2021...but you posted it in 2014...yes...all this relationship stuff is annoying. I was ok with Dexter and whatever her name is, Rita...but even that has gotten way more distracting. Which is fine as it's part of what Dexter is going through.

HATE Laguerta and Angel together. I'm not a fan of her...love Angel. But them together...no way Jack. I liked the girl he was dating the end of season 3.

I like Lundy...but I'm not sure who Deb is worse with...the musician or Lundy. I mean...never mind the terrible acting.

And I wasn't even counting Quinn. I like him...and like the actress, so I'm ok with that. But yeah...this show has definitely taken a turn. I'm overall ok with it...but yes...about 25 minutes into this episode I was like...there's a lot of romantic comedy type stuff going on here. I'm not watching Dexter for that stuff.

Dex Takes A Holiday [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 4 Episode 4 ''Dex Takes A Holiday'' (S4. E4): Episode 3 was cool and I gave it a rating of 8.7/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Oh boy tre trinity killer took a good beating. So this woman killed her entire family to be ''free'', that's disturbing. Is she flirting with Dex? I hope that Deb wont make the mistake of getting back together with Lundy. Lundy is getting closer to find out who the trinity killer is. This police woman is definitely the killer, threatening Dex that she will tell everyone that he tried to ra-pe her. Deb is kissing Lundy? No, no, no, huge mistake! Someone shot Deb? Wow, what's going on? Lundy too? Super brutal. Is that the trinity killer? My rating is 9/10.

Dexter takes a holiday, alright

Warning: Spoilers
The show; not the character. THREE -- count 'em -- THREE stupid little office romances have taken over this show like crabgrass takes over an otherwise healthy lawn. Quinn and Hill. LaGuerta and Batista. Morgan and Briggs/Lundy. And the BIG question that jumps to the front of the line is: WHO CARES?!!! In the first season the show wasn't bogged down with all this soap opera filler crap. Now, it is. And that's one of main reasons this show has become -- boring. Maybe they can grab Bochco and he can turn this into a rock opera, like Cop Rock!!! Maybe not. But you get my point. (Or maybe not.) Thank goodness for Netflix and the ability to fast forward through a lot of this crap. Lithgow is one of the best big bads of all time, yet he's absolutely wasted in this cesspool of irrelevant inconsequential drivel.
