The Bells are Ringing
JordanThomasHall20 March 2018
Peg (Rosemary DeCamp) is upset and concerned that Junior (Lanny Rees) is very distant, as if in a constant daydream. Riley (Jackie Gleason) insists it's merely him being in love with some girl at school. Riley has a father/son talk with Junior in which he struggles to tell him the birds and the bees. When Riley learns the crush is on his teacher, Mrs. Hendrickson (Marlo Dwyer), he is the one concerned. He visits Mrs. Hendrickson at school and tells her about Junior's crush. She passes it off as a normal experience for a boy his age. However, Riley hears the same bells his son says he hears when he sees the teacher. Unknown to them, it is the Good Humor ice cream truck passing around the block. Riley now begins to act like Junior, but is determined to "hear bells" with Peg.

Kiss me quick

The episode opens with a very upset Peg. She is worried about Junior who is acting quite oddly. Riley isn't worried thinking it's just a simple girl crush, but after he talks to Junior he becomes very upset to learn he's in love with his teacher.

A bell from an ice cream truck going by brings comedy to this episode. Fearing he's in love with his son's teacher, Riley tries to romance his wife to see if he hears bells with her. He becomes even more worried when he doesn't. His friends, Gillis and Digger give him advice on solving his problem

Missing from this episode is Babs and Waldo.
