This episode drags the storyline of season 2 to a stop, just so that it can bombard you with a shallow critique of fandom culture for 20 minutes. There's little value to the majority of what you see.
The Birdtaurs are all just fandom/content creation strawmen, which is confusing for anyone who isn't a part of that subculture/obnoxious and grating to anyone who is. It is the equivalent of kicking a dead horse, which is ironic considering how much they like to "critique" Horse on her actions.
The most this episode does is establish a base for some equally annoying jokes present in the rest of the season. That's all.
You could easily skip this one, and you probably should.
