This show is very interesting. I really like the way they make the cakes. It's pretty neat, and also it makes me wanna have some cake!!

Entertaining, but not really worthwhile

This show is fine to watch every once in a while, and as someone who grew up watching Ro on YouTube I wanted to really like it, but the judges fail to provide any sort of critique to the contestants when me and my friends who watched this show together could think of several. They always use the same few critiques on every single episode. In fact, during one of the episodes, one of the contestants made a really messy looking cake with too much buttercream, that I did not think would compare to the other contestant's cakes, yet they ended up winning, making me feel as if their decisions are almost randomised rather than based off of the judges actual decisions. Wasn't really feeling some of the contestant's energy as well, they made it hard to watch at times. The judges do, however, have a fun energy which makes up for that, but I also wish the theme song wasn't so irritating. As much as I like Ro, I think that if she's not the type to critique other people's baking creations that this isn't the right type of show for her to be hosting.

Disappointing first episode

The first episode was so bad that I just can't continue watching. It's a copied show format with a rather bland host and judges with very poor judgment.

Rosanna Pansino is such a wonderful YouTuber and she totally deserves to be the host. The other judges who help her are very good. This is the best baking show I've ever watched and I'd be grateful if HBO Max would launch a second season.

A poor imitation of Netflix's shows

Perhapd others may disagree, out of a fondness for the show's host, Rosanna Pansino. Aside from her over-the-top outfits, and particularly inauthentic disposition, she seems to unwilling (or unable?) to provide any worthwhile critique to her contestants. The show bares a striking resemblance to Netflix's "Sugar Rush" and "Nailed It," but seems to have taken from each only the format, and left behind the entertainment. The first episode is enough for any sane individual to not watch the second.
