Love the show, but 100 adults flew off in pairs with replicates in 50 ships (49) others

I really enjoy the show. The intro states 100 adults and their replicants leave the planet. There are two adults per ship so 50 ships. 49 other family units. Nowhere in the dialog did they poke fun at this.
