Truly bad
pauli_gomez2 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was mostly boring, with classical ghost tales. Besides Archie's death in the previous episode barely had consequences. Everyone continued with life as usual, and Betty lost his baby. It does not matter too much anyway, because I guess she will now adopt Baby Anthony, and apparently the show wants us to think that babies are replaceable. But what about Fang? Poor man.

The Jughead story...well, I am surprised they have a closet with windows towards the outside without knowing it. Did they not look his house from the exterior and wonder what were those windows? Besides, their problems with living together should be addressed and discussed more in deep, as they were legitimate. I mean, ghosts could have exacerbated them, but their roots were real.

So, Archie and Toni are already gone, who is next?

How can something be this bad?

I dont mind the new universe thing and rivervale with the ghosts. Hell, I might even liked it if it wasn't for the bad acting followed by an even worst script and storyline. Even the camerawork is bad.

Riverdale has been hella fun trash since season 3 but this...they really jumped the shark with this z category plot Still trash but no longer fun, I want my enjoyably ridiculous show back!

I would prefer the episodes that were at least tolerable. But this is just completely bad. Like they make the previous couple seasons look like a masterpiece.

Like it's cool and all cause the last couple season have been a bit hard to watch so I don't mind the horror switch up but I'm confused aswell like is there a multiverse or something?, hopefully the episodes with Sabrina explains it.

I know I haven't been following you... Riverdale.. I heard about things that happened to you but oh my how far you have change from season 1...

This episode is not even campy fun.. or am I just missing a lot of stuffs? Even for brainless watch, the cast deserved a better story than whatever this episode has.

La Llorona comes to Rivervale
nross-4674424 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is one of the best episodes I have ever seen. So let me break it down. The episode starts off with a Serpent/Ghoulie fight, where Toni accidentally kills Darla Dickinson's son. Flash forward 3 months later, and Toni is still traumatized from the event. Jughead and Tabitha are on edge, along with Reggie and Veronica. In fact, Reggie's father is in the hospital, sick. Cut to a wide shot along the river, and the mysterious specter, La Llorona steps out of Sweetwater River. Cheryl and Nana Rose Blossom have a conversation about the maple trees flourishing, and toast to Archie. Dagwood runs into the room, screaming that "Mommy is trying to kill Juniper". Cheryl runs to the bathroom but discovers a locked door. In the bathroom, La Llorona is drowning Juniper. Cheryl unlocks the door and barges in, discovering bruises on Juniper's arms.

At the Mantle Car Lot, A man pulls in with a car that resembles his old car, Bella. At the FBI office, Betty contacts Toni. A serpent mother is being questioned for the murder of her daughter. When Toni goes into the interrogation room, the mother tells Toni that La Llorna killed her daughter. Betty isn't ready to believe a folk tale. At the Cooper home, La Llorona pays Betty a visit. The next day, Betty visits Dr. Curdle Junior. He informs Betty that she is no longer pregnant. Tabitha discovers that Jughead is hiding the fact that there was a murder suicide in their new apartment.

This information stresses out Tabitha. Especially after she discovers that he always let Betty read his first drafts. She then returns home and fights with Jughead. She proceeds to smash the typewriter that Betty gifted him and grabs a hammer. She is about to kill him until she looks into a mirror. When she does so, she discovers that she isn't herself. She stops, and Jughead and Tabitha share their first "I love you's". Also, La Llorona makes an appearance at Riverdale High. Toni sets the fire alarm off and grabs an Axe. She attempts to kill La Llorona but she dissappears before Toni can do so. She is interrupted by Kevin.

Betty and Toni go to Thornhill and induce a seance. While doing so, they discover that Darla Dickinson summoned La Llorona. Betty and Toni then go to the cemetary, and encounter Darla. Toni apologies to Darla and learns that the man Toni killed was her last son. They also learn that La Llorona's target is Baby Anthony, and that once summoned, she can't be stopped. Betty and Toni go to the Whyte Worm to discover a whole group of Serpents, including Fangs Fogarty, drenched. Meanwhile, Reggie tells veronica that his dad died. She discovers this after destroying the car that resembled Bella. She did do becasue she thought he had relations with a teacher.

Betty and Toni go to Sweetwater River to confrotn La Llorona. Therefore, Toni tries to convince La Llorona to let Baby Anthony be free. La Llorona refuses. So, Toni volunteers to take la Llorona's place. In doing so, La Llorona gives Toni her baby so she can say her final goodbyes. Toni gives Betty her baby and La Llorona runs into Toni. Flashes of Toni and Baby Anthony flash onscreen and Toni becomes La Llorona. She tells Betty to tell Anthony his mother loved him, and she walks into Sweetwater River. Cut to Title Card.

So, we can safely skip these five episodes
gacsogergely25 November 2021
The show is no longer even played in Riverdale.

Why bother watching it?

Either season 1-5 was a dream, or this is. Either way, these episodes are less then nothing.

What am I watching ?!
penny_yioda11 April 2022
How did Riverdale start as an enjoyable show (minus the random singing) to this garbage.

I am shocked that the writers think this is ok to put out. I sit here, watching shaking my head. Wondering what the actors are thinking. I know they still get paid but aren't they thinking 'wtf is this script' I'm seriously confused, what happened?

Have I missed something?!

Season six is shocking, I am surprised there's going to be a season seven!

About time Riverdale / Rivervale just comes to an end.

The last Riverdale episode I watched
grwindsor2 December 2022
Oh wow, this episode was terrible! Riverdale slid downhill after season 1, but I kept watching because among the shockingly bad ones (like the musicals) there was the occasional decent one.

But the last 4-5 were just so bad... 2 or 3 out of 10 if I'm generous. Then this one came along. Oh wow, just so amateur in all elements of writing and production.

When I start a series I like to see it through to the last episode of the last season. It's rare that I don't, I'm a completionist.

But this bad episode was the final straw for me to change my ways, and be more comfortable to stop earlier. And to read other IMDb reviews early on and take notice of other people's advice on when to stop watching

So many people gave this advice, to stop after season 1. I didn't listen. I will from now on.

I also left a review for the whole series as a warning to future viewers.
