Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaBill Lawrence: The director is seen as the janitor who wishes J.D. goodnight as he leaves Sacred Heart for the last time.
- GoofsAs JD leaves the hospital after watching his "future," he gets into his car and you can clearly hear the engine start. The Prius does not have a conventional starter motor (it is silent), and being a hybrid, the engine should not have started at all.
- Quotes
John Dorian: It's never good to live in the past too long. As for the future, thanks to Dan, it didn't seem so scary anymore. It could be whatever I want it to be... Who's to say this isn't what happens? And who's to say my fantasies won't come true just this once?

Not a single Series finale as good as this one.
This was the most emotional and beautiful series finales in the history of Television. You see and feel and remember how much the characters you first met in the pilot have grown up and how much they went through in their lives to become doctors. The scene where JD is walking through the halls and is imagining every patient and character he had made a relationship with in his time as a doctor at sacred heart is just artistic and poetic. When JD comes to the end of the hallway and we hear the music start, and we can see the reflection of the projection screen he is watching, it just really makes you tear up seeing him react with both sad and happy emotions to what is going to come in the future for his life. The song book of love playing in the background really helps mold the emotional nature of the scene, and we see the empty and quiet parking lot as he finally goes through the doors, giving us a somewhat sad that it's over, but happy feeling for JD at the same time, the janitor outside even bares a striking resemblance to the janitor. No TV show has ever had me this happy, sad, and annoyed in my life and no finale had ever gotten me so emotional. I get teary even thinking about this scene.
