Another failed DC movie

Not sure what's worse, the CGI, the writing, the acting or the directing. The only redeemable parts are the plot line and Chris Pine's acting; but even those could not make up for the failures on all other fronts. Not even worth watching for free on HBO Max...

.....to destroy a super hero. Trying to add comic relief to a caracter like wonber woman just destroys the movie. As for the evil characters ...realy... thats the best you can do i can not recount the plot holes. It is like the participants were bored and wanted to get on with their lives

This movie WW84 compares to Superman 3 & 4 bundled together, since it's a long and boring 2.5 hrs movie with no substance, no storyline, no bad guys to make it worthwhile. If I had gone to see this in theatres, I would have walked out well before it was over. Keep in mind JL is from present time but the very first WW is from World War I, when Diana rescued US pilot Captain Steve Trevor crashing off the Themysciran coast. This second movie is from 1984. And there are no god-like evil in this made-to-tv sorta cartoonish-ness film. Just a "dream stone" that grants wishes. Diana wishes for her deceased lover, Steve Trevor, to return, causing his soul to take over another man's body. And Barbara (an insecure woman who idolizes and envies Diana) wishes to become strong like Diana. A business man Max Lord (the Mandalorian guy) wishes to become the stone to gain its power. In other words he becomes a Genie Who also can take whatever he desires in return. Sort of like the horror movie "The Wishmaster". I think Jenkins (the director) was thinking of Donald Trump as in, what would he do if he came across a powerful stone that grants any wish. And the fact that Patty Jenkins mentioned several times this movie needed to be watched in the big screen is a joke! Compared to big blockbuster films from Bay, Nolan, Spielberg, Jackson, J.J., Lucas and Verbinski, this WW84 looks pretty cartoonishly to me.

I can't even try to explain how bad this movie was. I tried to turn it off, but it was like a train wreck. I had to see just how bad they could end it , and they blew all expectations on how bad, bad, something could be. Thank god it was free on HBO Max.

Underwhelming

This movie was a complete waste of time and incredibly disappointing after the excellent 2017 Wonder Woman movie. Gal Gadot's part was incredibly boring with zero worthwhile action. Kristen Wiig's out of place comedy villain was fun at times. Pedro Pascal and Chris Pine gave wooden performances but but the awful script didn't give them much to work with.

If this had been the first of the recent Wonder Woman movies I would never have watched another one. Not sure I'll bother with the next.

I am one of the 40% few that was able to see it on Christmas day at AMC theaters in DOLBY cinema true 4k and sound! What an amazing beginning it felt like I was in 1984 "Back to the future" movie or "ET", the costumes where on par to that era and the cars where wow, I lived in the 80's, the 80's where my best years as a child, in 1984 is when the world changed! Microwaves! Color TV upgrades in every home, many tv channels, cartoons galore, It was a time of unexplored art and it was amazing how this movie captured that, how it took me back there and all my memories. The plot of the movie was ok but it was cheesy when she picked up an object created by a God. By now I would assume nothing would phase her and God like objects wouldn't cause her any alarm instead she acted like she was a child and that upset me in the movie. Antilesbian?: Another part in the movie I wish she had a more lesbian relationship with cougar, Like she was her lover and then comes Steve and jealousy occurs. This director is definitely anti LGBTQ because everything is Man loves women when it is obvious Wonder women is from an island of a bunch of lesbians (This is a good thing not a bad thing) but the director makes it look like this should not be shown. So this movie lacks the reality and sexuality of the women that come from that island! It also doesn't show Diana having sexual relationships with other women which she should have because that is the nature of her people, DC needs to stop catering to the young and open up to the adults, Make cartoons/animations for the young but movies for the adults.

((((Showing @ AMC Theaters at 40% capacity)))) Most anticipated movie release of the year and finally in December it has been sold out since december10th! even with only 40% capacity it has allowed AMC theaters to keep its doors open, I do not know where AMC is getting its money or it is good management and they saved for a rainy day and that rainy day is now they are doing very well in pleasing the community, While all other theaters are shut down AMC is the only one across the country open to the public. If you do not wear a mask a police officer will arrest you and take you into custody, Not wearing a mask is like walking into the theater with a loaded gun so do not play games at AMC theaters and enjoy this movie.

I love all the 80's throwbacks even the way it was shot, it was like watching the super hero movies I grew up with! OMG so much fun. Sorry you haters out there but being a girl from that era in time it was awesome to see Wonder Woman kick some @$$. All I can say is just go with it as you watch and ride the adventure. My only regret is not being able to see it in the theaters.

Gal Gadot was again solid as the iconic heroine but Pedro was the MVP while Pine & Wiig were excellent so WW84 was a well acted flick. Jenkins's direction was solid, Zimmer's score was beautiful & great plus the visuals are good. WW84 is a good but flawed plus well acted flick. Wonder Woman doesnt give up on mankind because thats not who she is since 1941. Wonder Woman 1984 is a nice addition to the DCEU and I love this movie plus I also love Hans Zimmer as a composer. Gal Gadot is a great actress & is WW. Pedro Pascal is a outstanding actor.

JUST PAIN. I just watched this on a dceu rewatch and it was easily, EASILY the worst in the franchise. This genuinely made me sad, but not in a "oh that's so sad" way but in a "I really, REALLY want to stop this and delete max. I genuinely cannot understand how they took a surprisingly good movie of WW and made this warcrime. This movies quality is the only thing that makes less sense than a lasso grabbing onto air, and lighting (I WISH I WAS KIDDING ABOUT THAT PART)The story sounded like it was written by a 3 yr old, and half the dialoge makes the characters sound like them. Pedro Pascal is this movies only saving grace. Chris pines character, while fun and actually enjoyable, was shoved in so Wonder Woman had stakes. The golden suit was just put in there to be in there. This movie saw every bit of morality in other superhero movies and just made the plot with nothing but "HONESTY" "TRUTH" "DONT BE GREEDY". Don't watch if you value your sanity or have standards for movies. And if your smart and decide not to watch this travesty of a film, but you still have the need for some wonder woman content, watch the 1st two scenes, because it doesn't get any better. Save your money, save your time.
