- Some viewers will find the main character off-putting, as he is constantly lusting over and selling himself out for women.
- One of Denji's dreams is to touch a girl's breasts, and he often talks about it.
- It doesn't happen a lot, but there are some zoom ins of girls' breasts.
- Denji secures a man's porn collection.
- There is partial nudity, but nothing explicit is shown. Though the nudity is onscreen for a prolonged time.
- Denji, sometimes looks at a girl's breasts most of the time, includes zoom ins of the scenes.
- A girl talks about how she almost was put in the sex trading business, but it is very brief. One line though and it doesn't go past that.
- A person faints on a woman's breast.
- Lots of crass language and talk of sexual desires.
- One of the characters lets a guy touch her chest and she starts egging him on.
- In one episode, Denji repetitively kicks a character in the balls. He then claims it was the work of the testicle devil.

Violence & Gore

- Contains every type of gore: decapitation, mutilation, dismemberment, shock deaths, etc. Blood and guts are shown, and the main characters aren't exempt from death and gore.
- Since the main character uses chainsaws as weapons, some deaths are prolonged rather than quickly shown as it takes time to completely grind through an enemy.
- Two characters get in a street fight. There is punching and kicking with a realistic amount of blood. It should be noted that this is not a clean fight, with nut shots and face shots made.
- A boy is hit on the head by a hammer and dragged away, leaving a trail of blood.
- Every time the main character turns into chainsaws, he gets cut up by his own chainsaws. As you can imagine, this spatters blood everywhere.
- In Episode 3, a devil is chopped up, with guts and blood going everywhere. Very gory.
- There is a graphic slow-motion of a boy's arm being blasted off.
- Episode 4 has a prolonged fight on top of the remnants of a previous battle, said battle leaving organs everywhere. The characters are quite literally slipping and sliding on organs as they fight. In fact, one character picks up a fist full of organs and uses it like a rope to trip an enemy.
- A boy participates in a long battle with a severed arm. The bloody stump is detailed and it is shown onscreen for a lengthy amount of time.
- Episode 9 has the most violence and gore so far. People are crushed to death by an unseen force, and the aftermath is gory.
- Two characters are simultaneously cut in half horizantally, with the top halves of their bodies falling bloodily.
- The anime has lots of extremely graphic and gory violence and body horror throughout. Chainsaws (the main character for context), axes, swords, guns, and other weapons are used.
- In one episode, two semi-immortal characters are killed repeatedly as part of their "training". It involves knives getting embedded in heads, throats slashed, and violent beatings. The whole ordeal is bloody and brutal.
- This is easily one of the most violent anime series ever created in recent years.
- In an episode Power killed a cow and eat the blood of cow,just like that power also killer a bear in a forest with her axe and drinks his blood and she also killed sparrow and sucks blood from them.
Profanity

- The word "Dog" is use in a derogatory manner towards the main character. Also, the word "damn" is used.
- The words "ass", "dumbass", and "asshole" are used.
- Some uses of "shit".
- "Fuck" is used occasionally in the sub.
- "Tits", "breasts", "boobs" and other related words are occasionally used.
- "Fuck" is used a few times in the english dub.
- The F-word is used multiple times in both the English subtitled and the English dubbed versions.
- Frequent uses of curse words like "fuck," "shit," "asshole," etc.
- Fuck is used multiple times. Shit, Bitch, Damn, Bastard, Dickhead, asshole, and Slut.
- Some strong language throughout. "Fuck" and "shit" are used several times, while moderate and milder words like "bastard", "damn", "crap", "hell", "dick", "slut", "ass", "boobs", "dumbass", "tits", "balls", "bitch", and "asshole" are also frequent used.
- In manga book 6 denji the main character finds a stick that says weenier.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Denji, the main character, eats a lit cigarette for 100 yen, but he spits it out afterwards.
- Characters occasionally smoke and drink.
- Kishibe smokes and drinks a lot.
- Episode 7 has the most alcohol use, with multiple characters ending up very drunk.
- A drunk woman has a french kiss with a teenage boy

- A girl drinks beer in a can.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Zombies with brain matter and guts are shown onscreen for a while. The zombie devil has a creepy and disturbing appearance, such as having their brain protruding out of their head.
- A character is brutally murdered and chopped into pieces, and the pieces of their body are shown afterwards. The entire scene is uncensored.
- The Eternity Devil is show in the show, it has a very fleshy appearance and multiple heads that may be disturbing, instead of an animal or human type of appearance, it's just flesh and like a slimy body or shape.
- The graphic and brutal violence can be too intense for some viewers to watch, the fights are long and intense with characters fighting frantically.
- This anime is the equivalent of a hard R rated movie. The series is full of graphic gory violence, strong language, and sexual content. Not to mention that the show can get incredibly intense at times.
- Some characters can be very off putting and can be quite disturbing.
- Unlike the TV-14 shows (that can't handle the content), TV-MA has a range from moderate to severe content.
Spoilers
Sex & Nudity
- Denji touches both Power's and Makima's breasts. Both scenes last quite long
- Makima says that she will grant Denji any wish if he manages to kill the Gun Devil. Denji asks if sex is an option, but his sentence is cut off by her.
- Himeno and Denji kiss with their tongues which lasts for quite a while. During the kissing, it turns out that Himeno puked in Denji's mouth, but the censored version blurs the vomit.
- A woman offers the main character a French kiss as a reward, which he gladly accepts. Later, when she is drunk, she also offers him to have sex with her which he almost accepts but doesn't because he has feelings for another person.
Violence & Gore
- During the last third of the first episode, Denji is stabbed through the heart, and same with Pochita. Then, it shows him going into his Chainsaw Man form and brutally massacring a horde of zombies.
- Denji kills a zombie devil and his minions pretty brutally with plenty of blood and gore spurting everywhere.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Some may be distressed or saddened by the fact the main character, Denji, was orphaned (his dad hanged himself to escape debt, and his mom died from a heart disease that made her cough up blood). However, his pet dog sacrificed himself to save Denji. This is an intensely emotional scene even from episode one.
- A devil holds a girl's cat hostage, threatening to kill the cat if she doesn't get him humans to eat. The girl brings the devil a human but he is disgusted by the taste of the person she brought, so he eats her cat as a punishment. This could distress some viewers.
- In Episode 8, many previously introduced characters are fatally shot by guns.
- A major character sacrifices her body for a devil contract, and gradually loses both of her arms and legs. She then disappears entirely, only leaving behind her clothes. As such, viewers may find this shocking.
- Episode 9 is intense for multiple reasons. To name one, there is a long sequence where people are crushed to death by an unseen force. The characters are powerless against it, and to make it worse, the characters get a dreadful gut feeling before they die. The whole thing is accompanied by the intense rhythmic tone set by the OST (Original Soundtrack).
