A serious blow for the passionate winemaker Anne: her lifelong dream of following in her father Albert's footsteps at the Wader winery is in danger of being shattered. When the patriarch dies unexpectedly, a serious oversight takes its toll. The signature is missing on the will, which is supposed to seamlessly transfer the traditional family business into Anne's hands. Instead of taking over the estate as sole boss, Anne has to share the inheritance with her brother Matthias and her mother Käthe. The fact that the two of them announce that they will sell their shares to the highest bidder pulls the rug out from under Anne. The single parent now has to decide what happens next for her and her blind daughter Tori. Fight, wait or start again somewhere else? The situation gets even worse: her father's arch enemy, Albert's brother Bruno, wants to take over his parents' house and the vineyards. The fate of the estate is now in Käthe's hands. Their decision isn't just about money, but also about family secrets and deep enmity.

Winemaker Anne is making a new start as manager at the neighboring Roscher winery. Of course, the family farm, which her mother Käthe now runs, is still close to her heart. Unfortunately, Käthe doesn't have a good hand when it comes to an important personnel issue: Since Rolf Scherer has been running the business, wine stocks have been disappearing from the cellar. When there are problems with the new red wine vintage and the office burns down along with the accounting department, Anne intervenes. She suspects that someone is deliberately trying to drive the farm into bankruptcy and even suspects her own brother Matthias, who has returned from Hamburg. By chance, Anne comes across a letter that contains a posthumous confession from her father: Niece Jannika Wader is actually his biological daughter. The news hits like a bombshell for Bruno, who is currently celebrating Jannika's election as wine queen with fatherly pride. Helpless, Christel has to experience how her husband and daughter turn away from her. Meanwhile, Anne faces a challenge as a mother: daughter Tori is now 17 and wants her boyfriend to stay with her. Anne's future plans with Valentin Berens also put a strain on her relationship with her blind daughter.
