The day of reckoning arrives as King Bosse passes away. A mysterious devil - like figure appears and laughs maniacally while pointing at Prince Bojji. The new king was then to be decided in accordance to the late king's will.
Desha tells Boji that he is after Miranjo, Boji realising that she is the one responsible for his mother's death. Desha wishes to take Gigan to the underworld because Gigan betrayed Desha's army in a war against his own kind, Gigantes.
Prince Bojji, a deaf and mute prince stumbles upon a member of the shadow clan, Kage where he is then forced to give up his own clothes for Kage to sell. Kage, taken aback by Bojji's kind nature follows him and observes his daily life.
Prince Bojji embarks on a journey to find Queen Hiling's parents alongside his sword master Domas and companion Hokuro to prove his worth and challenge Daida for the throne.
Surviving Domas's attack, Bojji is surprised to find Kage alongside him all this time. However, a mysterious poisonous gas seemingly appears and knocks Bojji and Kage out. Daida seeks out King Bosse's power to increase his rank.
