The season premiere was superb, and this episode is as good. We saw Morgan Jones change as a person into something in between the Clear person and aikido person, but the question we the viewers have is who saved him from his near death and where's everyone else of our beloved characters.
This episode follows Alicia, Strand and Salazar in Lawton. Lennie James, the person who plays Morgan actually served as director and he did one hell of a good job. As the previous episode, there's some beautiful shots and fantastic camera work and angles.
There's some great world building in this episode as it should be when they introduce a new area and settlement, Lawton is a traditional old western town but there's more to it than a normal settlement. There's also new characters that we got introduced to but the most important one in my opinion is Dakota which is the little sister of Virginia, we get to know much more about Virginia as a person and what she is trying to build.
One of the reasons why I disliked S4 and S5 is how the showrunners made changes to characters like Strand, Salazar and Luciana, this episode alone fixes Strand and he's his old self again which is a blessing to see, the same goes for Salazar I believe as he's back being intelligent and having schemes. I think the writers have learned from their mistakes and they are really building something fantastic here, so far its as good as season 3 and it's looking like it will only get better.
So far we haven't really gotten anything super important events other than a buildup and lots of character development which means next week's episode has to be eventful as the trailers have shown a very eventful first half. Episode 6.02 was fantastic from start to finish, emotional and unpredictable. There were some fine acting performances as well, Colman Domingo and Alycia Debnam-Carey were phenomenal.
