Helping others

Into a generic space, a shopping center, few characters, and a tense situation. Everything is subtle and leaves room for the spectator's interpretation. It's also well-recorded and performances are fine. All together we are in front of a highly recommendable short film.

What a good surprise

Warning: Spoilers
So short, sharp and brillantly done, so subtle too, where actions and glances, silences and movements are more powerful than words. That's the true way of filming to me, a kind of behaviorism, the science of actions and behavior. The most important part here is what it is not said but only guessed, or suggested. Did the little girl saw her mother wishing to help the old woman? Did she? Or did she think her mother provoked her death, or even pushed the old lady in the escalator. It is so rare to watch such gems.... Mainly short features can bring us such jewels.

Steeps in tension and unspoken knowledge

This short manages to be suspenseful and subtle at the same time. The directing is a huge part of that. The acting is also subtle yet effective.
