Tasked with casting a horror movie, Dot has a nightmare where all her co-workers are characters in a slasher flick.
Years ago I would have named this as my favorite episode of the season, but rewatching it, I can see it has its' problems.
Like Season 4's "Night of the Iguana", it's a fun parody of horror movies, but this one's purposely "bad" in keeping with the general cheesiness of '80s slasher flicks, which weren't taken seriously even at the time. Some of the ideas and lines in this are stupid - even for a parody.
The best parts are the exaggerated POV shots, Jan's frozen stare at the telephone, seeing Jan, Dot and Ginger all scream in unison, and when Nancy's head appears on a platter.
Jan does an imitation of Robin Leach of LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS.
