A bit of Irish blarney for the wearin' of the green...in black and white.

Warning: Spoilers
That's Billy Barty with the funny ears and glittery costume, playing a leprechaun who appears to Dennis Day's grandfather in this hokey episode of a forgotten sitcom, seemingly the only episode out there of it. I think that it is Day in the dual role of himself and his grandfather, one of those sprightly old men who can skip and hop right along with the kiddies, especially when he's hopping mad. Cliff Arquette, aka Charlie Weaver, aka Grandpa Jones of "Hee Haw", is mildly amusing as Day's sidekick, but Ida Moore is absolutely adorable as the slyly smiling old lady whose presence on TV and in films is always welcome. Hokey but mildly amusing, but Day's singing is not for every taste, although the stunt of his voice coming out of every singer's mouth from around the world is very funny.
