Johhny Sunshine ain't no resident evil
CorblimeyGuvnors1 March 2015
This film reminded me a bit of Residential Evil (2002), but on a low budget level. This is because the main title character, Johhny Sunshine, goes around killing zombies in sexy outfits and fetish wear. However this was more in your face and tried to be more cutting edge and controversial.

In the distant future a zombie horde has taken over the planet and survivors are walled up in cities. There is a new entertainment for people that is a cross between torture porn and snuff films. Zombies are used for entertainment, killing them is the slowest way possible. Sounds sick huh? Well in principle is should have been. Some of the set ups and situations are indeed horrible, and there is a bit of gore. However it appears to have missed an opportunity to to be truly repulsive and this is probably to do with the low budget and amateur acting on display distracting from what is happening on screen.

Shey Bland is good in the title character and she looks the part. This films sets out to be a bit different and I feel that it has achieved it's goal. Not too bad for such a low budget film and I have seen a lot worse.

words can't even convey how awful this is

After a chemical explosion causes massive zombie infection across the world, Johnny Sunshine (Shey Brand) is the most successful porn-snuff starlet. This cinematic turd has no plot-line to speak of, no real story arch either. Miss Sunshine waxes poetic about killing, then kills (while having unerotic sex), rinse and repeat. Throw in a few scenes of her producer doing his thing (and plotting against her late in the 'movie'and endless narrated monologues and there you have it. I can't really convey how much I disliked this 'movie' as the guidelines don't allow profanity (which I guess is all well enough, as otherwise this word be a long strip of expletives hurled at this hunk of shi.......

My Grade: F-

DVD Extras: A short photo reel; promo trailer for this film; and trailers for Frightworld, Death Factory, Alucard, Fist of the Vampire, & Awaken the Dead

Eye Candy: Shey in a sheer top; & and two extras get topless

Giving it a 7 out off ... Yeah off what. Mindless in any regard but still I kept watching it.OK,how could I? I don't know. Maybe because I like zombies. Must have been thinking, that snuff and zombies mix well. They don't. This is not what the film is about. Or is it? Anyway,it was awful, looking at it as a zombie-film. There was no torture porn in it.Just a bit of torture soft-core. As for the effort. Wall-E had a more desperate feeling hanging over it. Oh yeah, here few zombies were killed. They were IMMOBILISED. Knife in the gut and down they went. But still moving, twitching is a better word.Unable to get up. The fighting was Jackie Chan at his best. NOT. My mother is faster and she is 80 years old. Like Shakira says...."Don't bother"

A low budget opus of sex and violence!
walksheavy31 August 2008
I give this film a 10 for effort. This movie was obviously made by a group of people with a great idea and a budget of absolutely zero. The story is easily leaps and bounds beyond the most recent vapid offerings of George Romero. GASP! Get over it. How many more George Bush zombie movies did we need? This film offers an original take on the zombie genre, not to mention pulls from the best in torture porn. When next you reach for a zombie feature to occupy your evening, give this one a chance. Low budget doesn't mean low quality with this flick. I salute the débutantes involved with this production for getting this film on shelves.

trinity made herself one messed up private matrix

Contrary to other reviewers, i found this flick rather enjoable. there's a lot of blood and nudity, and the soundtrack does what it should. good fight scenes, a stunning lead actress and interesting lighting added to the mix. it surely isn't for everyone though, some particular scenes are rather extreme in their sadism, and some of them just don't seem to end. there's one thing i kept scratching my head over, and that was the zombie sideplot. it really didnt add to the plot - if you want to call it that - at all... probably just an element to make the world the events take place more grimy and desolate.
