Great Start of a Series about 'Using what we got."

Much more than natural wonders, this Iceland episode shows how the decedents of Vikings have been using
their rugged traditions and common sense to work with nature, instead of against it.
Good humor and good food ideas show that Iceland is is much more than bubbling hot springs and volcanoes.

Painful Host Commentary

Excellent cinematography, well done production. The Icelandic locals and stories are well portrayed. The host's added absolutely nothing to the show and it would have been far more watchable without them. They stated that there are 10 hydroelectric plants in Iceland and then said there were 15 less than 5 minutes later. A quick google search suggests there are 37 so I am unsure whose fact checking any of the information they are repeating. The explanation of tectonic plates was presented as a "theory" not true science fact. I'm not sure whose still debating the tectonic plate theory but it was a bizarre way to state it. Nature and science should not be explained to the masses by TV personalities who don't know what they are talking about.
Fascinating science, dreadful hosts

Zac Efron, child actor, never grew up or learned basic manners. Thinks it's funny to wake someone up enjoying a nap, or mock a sweet guy offering to share his homeland. Just embarrassing to watch. Like there should be a nanny on set. 1 Star for him. 10 stars for Iceland. Enthralling science and technology going on in the land of fire and ice!
