Three short stories: A trio of elderly burglars brake into a school at night to check the math tests of one of their granddaughters. A young man who's reluctant to take his new car out for a drive is persuaded to do so by his father and runs into the woman of his dreams. After five years of marriage, Sonja is beginning to feel like part of the furniture. She tells her husband Wim she's been visiting a singles bar, but no one will approach her. So he gets a colleague from work to court her.

Three separate stories: A man and a woman share a cab on a rainy evening and argue all the way about who deserves to be delivered home first. Paul comes home depressed after failing to get a credit on his loan. His wife Marjan decides to have a talk with the bank manager who declined the credit. Harry & Marjan are planning their divorce. The moment he leaves with his new girlfriend, he starts worrying about his children.

Three separate stories: Accountant Donk is asked by his boss Bleek to take his employee Irene Wagenaar out on a date, because Bleek has set his eye on her. It soon transpires that Irene is actually in love with Donk instead. Two parents want to have an intimate Sunday morning but are constantly interrupted by their three attention grabbing children. Every day Mrs. Leeghwater asks postman Smit if he has something for her and every day he has to disappoint her. One day Smit decides to write her an anonymous letter.
