Sex & Nudity

  • Moderate sexual humor and mention of sex and or rape and infrequent talk of porn
  • No nudity. Some sexual references in some episodes. Talks about rape and sexual assault. There is one sex scene in an episode in the first season however it is not explicit at all.

Violence & Gore

  • Most episodes contain moderate bloody imagery including gunshots, stab wounds, blood, and infrequent gore.
  • Season 8 is more graphic and bloody than the others, mostly involving of blood spirting or pouring.

  • Castle is shown several times with woman either making out or in bed. In season 1: episode 6, Castle is shown having sex with his ex wife. No nudity is shown. And in episode 1 of season 5 Castle and Beckett are shown wearing nothing but a shirt and sheets after they had sex. No nudity is shown
