Trivia Maya's partner in the film was originally called Takuya, a traditionally Japanese name. After Trevor Zhou was cast in the role, the director wanted to make the name race appropriate and asked Trevor if he would like to rename the character. Trevor spoke with his mother and they came up with the name Cheng Yu Gao. The Chinese character for "Cheng" represents city/castle and the character for "Yu" represents language, but when put together they mean "Chinese Moral Tale/Proverb". The character for "Gao" represents high/ideal/elevated. They decided on this name because they felt the film was a high concept morality tale. See more »
