Pierre van Tonder was not Babbel, he was Bekkie, He was my father and a dwarf, Liz Meiring was not Babbel either, Please give my father the recognition he deserves.

Brilliant show

Doffel, Babbel en Bekkie is a classic children's show in the mid 1980's. They learned a lot of Life lessons and also about morality. The production was excellent and the comedic Foil of the ensemble is flawless. This is also An excellent show to learn Afrikaans. I use to sing the themesong with my brother and my cousin to.my grandma. Doffel's hijinx and comedy is classic. He is energetic and manically devious but has a good heart. Babbel a dimwitted but kind guy is an excellent foil to Doffel's unpredictable sense of adventure. Bekkie the brains of the group is kind and keeps the boys in check when they become unhinged. Dana Niehaus a seasoned comedian is their grandpa figure and he teaches the crew life Lessons. I would recommend this to young and if you older, durban poison , uncle Ninja , Tari and Swazi special with Brannas would make this show classic. Also some McKennaii sampione comes recommended.
