It's really nice to see this type of concept in bengali. Definitely it has loop holes but as an audience we should support this kind of film . The best film of filmaker Debaloy Bhattacharya till date . Acting good 👍🏻, nice and sharp editing 👍🏻 , script well written 👍🏻 , cinematography and set design nicely done 👍🏻 , music is awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 ,screenplay not perfect and is the only negative point for me in this film. Otherwise a perfect film to be watched out .

Intellectual thriller

The movie has the depth of an arthouse movie, it is gripping as a thriller and will melt your heart if you are a romantic. The only flipside is the slow pace of the movie that builds towards the climax and midway a masala movie audience may get tired of waiting for the twist. The last 30 mins are wonderfully executed and leaves you in awe if not spellbound. For a thriller buff, this was a very entertaining movie to watch.
An amazing artistic approach of representing the Dacula

The unexceptional movie making of Debaloy Bhattacharya has definitely change the total picture of Tollywood. Truly appreciate the art and craft behind this movie. Acting wise Anirban, Mimi, each one of the actor have played their parts so well that it increases the intensity of the story. The dark tale of Dracula will definitely linger in our minds for long.
Unbeatable acting by Anirban & all

Too good to be true

To attempt making such a movie in Bengali film industry itself is a daring task. But to ace it with absolute perfection is another story altogether. The director did just that. It is not like the concept is new. But to connect it with a dark period of West Bengal and make it a period drama demands brilliance. Anirban dropped an Oscar level performance. The music was brilliant too.
Trying something new

This venture was somewhat new and had it's moments where the movie is worth appreciating. The drawbacks mainly being the mishandling of the non-linear screenplay and particularly the chemistry between the lead pair. The performances by every actor especially Anirban was spot on.
This was an honest try marred by the incoherent storytelling and the moments between Anirban and Mimi.

Tired Drama with Naxalite Luring
Thechocolateboy11 December 2020
Just finished the hyped movie by Debaloy, but to be honest, only to find it overhyped for no reason.
The story unfolds Raktim( Anirban) , a part time bengali teacher of a Govt High school having two unusually large canines - inducing insecurities among the people around him. On the parallel runs a story of '71s where Amal( Anirban) is a Naxalite , choosing rebellion before his beloved one played by Mimi. Later the movie feeds us a 'twist' where 'things are not as it seems' ; but could Debaloy merge it well with the storyline ? NO for me.
Direction is quite mediocre showcasing only Anirban on 90% of the frames. Acting-wise it's definitely not his best but reasonable. The tired scenes about '71s are overused in most of the books and earlier movies; hence nothing to shock. The BGM and songs are a big thumbs up, though they make the movie only more melodramatic. The storyline had promise, but not executed properly.
This movie is like a dress stiched up combining various colorful pieces of clothes- making the dress clownish. My recommendation is 15Park Avenue instead.

Such a good movie with an unique content. Specially the Song and usage of the song between the story. Acting is Fabulous specially by Anirban Bhattacharya. But ending is confusing rather director did this intentionally for an unique ending. Overall it's a dark satire and I like this movie.
Very Disappointment Movie

Dracula movies are not so good. Completely bad movie. The story and screenplay are good but the director and editor have turned the movie into rubbish. Anirban's performance is good. This movie is a complete waste of time, money and energy.

One of the best work of Debaloy Bhattacaharjee

The film moves with the documentation of Nakshal movement in 1971 along with the Raktim's life in 2020. As an audience it was a bit difficult to relate these two parallel stories! However, the acting, cinematography and the music keep me in the seat to watch the full movie. The director revealed the story twist but the end scene is not clear or convince me.
The strength of this film is the acting of Mr Anirban, Ms Mimi and Mr Rudranil and the music along with the excellent cinematography! I just love this. Ny the way, the scripting was also good. The screenplay may not score A+ but it's still the best work of Mr Debaloy.
One of the best

We Don't deserve Such a good Movie .

Such a great movie . I found out that the movie consists of many inspirations drawn from other international movies but didn't copy any of them . The Storyline was genuine and so was the storytelling and unraveling the fact that not two but three stories are told in parallel and in the conclusion we find no conclusion at all . Outstanding character acting by Anirban . Also , the movie greatly protests against "Indian Fascists" in the form of a satire where the facists are portrayed as a form of the villain characters. Most of the audience were uncultured though because they were making out in the movie theater which was gross because the movie was great . Mimi was finally back to her roots which was a surprise because currently she has joined the fascist government . Overall I'd say that we don't deserve such a good movie .
Close to being perfect!

"Dracula Sir" is a drama with an ingrained psychological aspect. Dealing with an anguished yet innocent mind; the storyline delves deeper in its empirical topic. Heightened up by stellar acts & music; the aftermath lefts a lasting impression.
Bengali films have come a long way, from a myriad of caricaturist melodramas to a wide array spectrum of engrossing concepts. An irrefutable alteration decisively changed the perception of whole industry as well as the mindset of its viewers.
Debaloy Bhattacharya as the director, managed to conserve gloomy undertones with infrequent gore elements. With the requisite help of staggering compositions & downright excellence in cinematography; he was able to indite a story based around a psychological viewpoint with political insinuations. Nevertheless a thought provoking depiction of a loner's perspective in this unkind world.
Performances are commendable with Anirban as Raktim/Amol stealing every frame he featured in. Mimi Chakraborty as Monjari played her role admirably with an enduring calmness. Others, unfortunately didn't have much else to do. As per the writing goes, the first half seemed comparatively better. The plot gets rather convoluted in the second half and couldn't really make a proper recovery.
The concept, the way it's been presented; I perceived a strong temptation, an arcane connection that couldn't be expressed through words. It can only be felt!

An extremely unnecessary movie
Debajyoti_G18 December 2020
Anirban seems confused in most scenes as he switches between 1971 and present time. Mimi has forgotten dialogue delivery , the Gaaner Opare Mimi is lost forever.
This is the second unnecessary movie of Debaloy , first being Bidaay Byomkesh.
Excellent Visual Treat For the Audience

Well this is an Experimental genre movie.....So it definitely has a mixture of different kind of audiences view points...but to me it has been excellently portrayed...The story is outstanding, The Screenplay is tight which will make u stick to your seat till the last. The film was literally giving Goosebumps till the Intermission only due to the outstanding performances. The Film is full of Multiple Interpretation. It's a Parallel story-tellying of Horror-thriller, Reincarnation, Psycho-thriller Combo. Which story is True depends on your belief. But above all, I loved the Cinematography and The acting of Anirban the most...It was literally giving the vibes of a Theatre level Performance. Many people may not like it due to its multiple-interpretated ending, which has been used in Hollywood for decades. But still the movie has done all its best. Great Step by Bengali Film Industry. Thank u. Songs are the real gem of the film.
MARVELOUS, UNBELIEVABLE, LEGENDARY MOVIE.MUST WATCH
